Now like I have said before, the main theory many people have is that after Star Vs. ended the way it ended Disney got allergic to 4th seasons but having season 3 just be 44min specials is kind of weird and almost sounds that they just want to get over with it. Again weird because I could swear that the show is popular (for whatever reason).

It really is as far as this episode goes. And I ave less than zero interest in watching more. HB:AAL was 15 minutes per episode. Birdgirl got a full 30 and not only was it not funny it was slow. Speed slow and retarded slow. Brevity is the soul of wit alright.

Looks like streaming war bullshit to me. Invincible is doing great right now with each episode being an hour long and Disney being the cash-hungry rat it is wants to chase that dragon. The viewers watching might not bite the bullet on Disney+ to watch this boring cartoon but time will tell.
Owl House is popular the same reason SU and NuShe-Ra was popular, Saxxon: bad redemption arcs and gay shipping. And you can guess which part can't stick around longer than it has to in Disney's lineup.

The show apparently did decently if online chatter is anything to go by. Ironically, if you believe the rumour that Star VS's ending as badly as it did caused Disney to get cold feet about shows going past a fourth season then it was a straight relationship that did the most damage lol

If Owl House is truly getting axed by Disney due to gay, that's a shame and pretty embarrassing for [current year]. If that's going to be your company's attitude, don't let them be gay in the first place.

I don't know if that's really the reason (might be Covid and/or budget related), but if it IS then there's precedent for conservative countries pulling funding for animated shows being too gay.
