Watame is going to stop making Watame No Uta videos. The coming 2 videos will most likely be her last. Going to miss it, it was always a cute 10 minutes to start/end the week. But at the same time, I can understand her reasoning. Running out of inspiration for that specific format and wanting to try something new, she threw around the idea of a short animation.

i know this was posted b4, but:

Jugendgedenken is a short story from around 1930 by Herman Hesse (German writer and poet). It's based on his own short story Das Nachtpfauenauge from 1911. Based on a friendship with a Japanese professor the short story was translated into Japanese and is regularly published in Japanese school books since 1947.
This is why the story and author is known by many Japanese, but less in other countries.
The story is about a man, who is visited by a friend. He is reminiscing about his past, where he avidly collected butterflies. When he was boy, he collected butterflies in an old paper box. He has an elitish neigbour Emil, living next door, who is a serious collector. The protagonist showed Emil his most-appreciated butterfly, but was belittled for it's low quality and value. Therefore the protagonist didn't share any longer his collection with Emil.
A few years later, the protagonist heard, Emil caught a giant peacock moth - a very rare species. The protagonist went to Emil's house to see it, but nobody was there. He entered Emil's room to get a glimpse of this flawless butterfly. He found the insect pinned to a preparation board and was stunned by it's beauty. He decided pick up the butterfly and keep it for himself. Before he could leave, somebody entered the house. Not to be caught as a thief, the protagonist put the butterfly back. The giant peacock moth was heavily damaged, as he carried it in his hand. The protagonist arrived at home and confessed to his mother. She told him he has to apologize to his neighbour and compensate him. He went to Emil to apologize, but Emil was scorning him for the attempted theft. Emil declined any compensation, knowing the low value of his collection and told him "Now I understand. In the end you are a certain kind of fellow. I see".
In the end the protagonist destroyed his entire butterfly collection.

34 mins late = Kiara ringing her discord now, don't know how successful that going to be.

58 mins late = Kiara officially created the EN lateness time scale now. 1 Tenchou = 1 hour late. 18k watching and going strong, I remember watching Fubikis one live, it was nuts

64 mins late = Now we have sleepy Ame on the chickens stream, such a causal voice compared to what you used to hearing.

70 mins late = Endless rrats coming out of Kiara, trending number 11 in USA I think. Kiara food isnt burnt... yet

75 mins late = Now we being called out, for bullying Ina using her forehead for tic tac toe, hence the crying thumbnail. Honestly /vt/ is going to have a fucking field day with this.

80 mins late = based Ame and Kiara taking in Takodachis and caring for them in this painful time.

90 mins late = 25K viewers and Kiara ever so slightly losing it, I think she beginning to realise this going on far longer than she thought. it currently 00:32am for Kiara as I write this.

120 mins late = We have resorted to reading shitty puns on google and the Tako is literally no where to be seen, art work sums up the current situation pretty well. This cant go on much longer surely.

Something interesting the chicken said about ancient ones was something along the lines of “couldn’t the ancient ones just knock on her door?” Probably joking but she’s just fueling the rrats about ancient ones being a relative.

Her rig is too good for it. She bounces around and it becomes super disjointed.

But I'm not going to rag on Kiara for it. It was funny when Ame did it but as soon as Gura got one I knew it'd become a trend and everyone would follow suit. Kiara is just following suit.

The only person who I would maybe give a pass to is Polka on the basis that she has different PNGs in different poses, so at least she's actively expanding on the idea.

Used to happen back in the early 2000s, when anime cons where still quaint affairs and people were still naive about how disgusting it would be to hug random weebs. Not anymore AFAIK, at least in the bigger cons.
