Goddamn, I want a Desert Eagle so much, a color case hardened one.
Was Cokeman the guy who got MS, or was that some other dude?

Virgin Cokeman: shoots books

Chad McCollum: starts a publishing company
It surprised me when this project got pushed ahead of the Arisaka book; he has one of mine I didn't need anymore. But these books will do well in bridging the gap.

Edit: I'm definitely curious to see if Ian finishes an Arisaka book before Karl manages does a review of the Tokarev comp/brake.

Speaking of Cokeman, it seems he's trying to become an archivist of shit Guntubers.

Speaking on Jonathan Ferguson, anybody else binging his Gamespot features? He's great. I'm a nogunz gamerbro though so you might feel different.
As with all "Expert reacts to thing" videos there's some issue with the gameplay being a poor representation in some cases. He acknowledges artistic liberty more than others do, however, so I'm willing to give him a slight pass.

I'm surprised this book of chink knock offs is going before the Russian book
Tbf, the scope of that book is huge, and Russians do things on a different timescale.

I'm also surprised with the amount of interest in these Chinese warlord pistols suddenly..... or maybe I'm not; considering the upswing of interest in homebrew firearms, printed or otherwise.

I always thought that they were cool in a weird way. I’m probably going to get that book and probably the Arisaka book if it ever materializes

Didn't expect Atlas survival shelters to be mentioned lol.
To the uninitiated, the Atlas guy has major beef with the dude who runs Rising S and has accused him of getting a customer killed in a gas leak explosion, making bunkers that flood and get moldy, and of being a felon turned Fed informant who feeds customer information to the government. No idea if any of that is true but it's mildly entertaining.

Man that sounds interesting, we’ll need a “General Bunkertuber” thread

I doubt any of it's true, both of those guys are a little nutty. There's a really good book titles Bunkers: building for the end times that deals with preppers and the people trying to get rich off them. The book is basically a preppers thread with all the weirdos he interviews.

It definitely didn't take long for media to turn prepping into another form of consooming.
Even guys who emulated Tremors Burt were still in on the joke, but then people unironically started prepping for a zombie apocalypse....

The thing is, it's fun and everything you need for zombies you need for other ends of the world.

Plus, you don't see any zombies around my house, do you?

I know plenty of people including me who keep a reserve of food, have a backup generator, a stock of diesel, etc. but most are doing it cause we live rural and if a natural disaster hits you might be out of that stuff for a month. To me there is a difference between being prepared and being paranoid. Heck FEMA jumped on the zombie bandwagon as a way to get people interested in being prepared for a natural Disaster.

There's actually regular advertisements for Buy Patriot Supply on the local Rock station here. I don't quite live in the boonies but it's rural enough.

There's also a difference between survivalism & "prepping"; one involves actually being prepared to survive a theoretical catastrophe, the other involves flexing on friends & neighbors, often with theoretical skills.
