Alright, I'm already too deep in. Going to reply to some of this firsthand. I'm a nice goy boy married to an Israeli Jewish girl (see, June? Some of us actually make this effort). Just please don't come stalk my house.

or Shoe, I think it is a simple answer, for these reasons:

1. It is a safe opinion to have on Twitter, meaning less likely to get cancelled
2. Other people she interacts with also support Palestine, so she’s following the crowd
3. It’s a way to get back at conservatives for supporting Israel (she doesn’t want to come across as that)

Overall, it’s a safe opinion to grift from. That said, like most people talking about Israel and Palestine, many are unaware of the politics in the region. One doesn’t have to be a political expert necessarily to have an opinion, but many lack even the general knowledge. Shoe doesn’t strike me as intellectually curious and is far more about making memes than having honest discussions.

It's not just politics, but also a mindset.

In most developed countries, we think in terms of "democracy good", while in the Middle East this concept is still fairly very new: up until the early 20s century, the whole region was divided by tribes with local leaders. What the Brits and French did was basically re-draw borders and "create" leaders by putting whoever ruled the largest tribe, in charge. The wars in Yemen, for example, are all still a direct result of that. It's no different in Palestine, where the society is still thinking in terms of tribes and religious leaders rather than terms of "one leader", which is also why Hamas (the terrorist organization that's in charge of Gaza) only has many seniors but not one leadership.
Now, take Israel. Its leadership is mostly of European descent, which by itself is a problem given the majority of the Jewish people living there are either of Arab descent or are mixed. Pretty much a difference between west and east that I was talking about in the previous section, only they kind of work it out better since they're at least of the same faith (Jewish) and are generally more open to democracy. Though, the Israeli politics as a whole is a chaos and since 2018 or so there isn't even an Israeli government to speak of - only a prime minister de facto - so there's that.

Not better. I can, however, get a bit further into how exactly different the IDF is from Hamas or why is it the better evil out of the two, if you're interested. Then again, it's a sperging by itself and I am biased due to my aforementioned nuptials and location.

I watched a video the other day where he said- with complete sincerity- that his politics are relative to his relationship with his parents. That's how he went to anarchist to communist to "libertarian socialist" in the course of a few years. The guy is just like Shoe in that all he has ever wanted was orbiters. He got his start hopping onto any stream, any discord that would take him and firing off "hot takes" until he finally he drew enough controversy to himself that people bothered to start googling his name.

I think it's hilarious any time June makes a hugely agreeable stance, this time it was being pro-SWERF after her research concludes they're actually correct, that coincidentally the majority of her target audience at the time is so against, she spirals. Not just spirals for a few hours, but for days. June would be better if she stopped politics tweeting for a few days. Like, has she ever posted about any other hobbies without somehow tieing it back to politics? I remember years ago she constantly sperged about the Gorillaz revival and as non-milky as it was, it was refreshing.

Seriously, I used to watch her and Greg for background noise during both of their "primes", and it's been crazy how different the roller coaster has gone for the both of them. Greg as far as I can tell is almost completely off social media (he has an Instagram, but I don't think he uses it, except to promote his podcast?) probably makes decent money from his Patreon and off his videos, all of which are now just about cryptid stories and the like, and aside from him going from talking about how important his co-host Patrice was in his life to just kicking her off his podcast without a word as to why, I haven't seen much from him in the relationship drama department recently.

Meanwhile shoe seems incapable of interacting with anyone on Twitter, or covering subjects in her videos, with the maturity or respect that someone with her following and of her age should have. I don't use Twitter, but from what I've seen here hers is all cringe memes in response to serious topics or criticism, the occasional virtue signalling/grifting whatever, or being desperate for some unwashed BreadTube dick. If grifting and being stuck in 2008 is her channel's aesthetic, then fine, whatever, it's gotten her a million and a half subscribers, but how she carries that persona into all of her online interactions and expects anyone to be interested in a relationship with her is beyond me. Like I'm not saying Greg's perfect, he's an obnoxious narcissist at the best of times, and I haven't watched much of his stuff lately anyway, but he clearly made the right choice in separating business/politics/hobbies from his social life after the disaster that was shoe.
