Well, being a woman is more than having a vagina. There are a full set of specific details in your body, even your face. No matter how much surgeries you get, you can't change your bone structure.

They definitely can stunt parts of the body and they are unhealthy for the body general, including bone health. Does it stop puberty completely though? No. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Lupron, the only puberty blocker I ever hear about, mainly works by suppressing the body from making estrogen or testosterone.

Obviously, the lack of testosterone or estrogen will affect your body, especially the parts that rely on these hormones the most to grow (like the penis or breasts), but the body is more complex than that. Just preventing your body from making less testosterone won't stop it from maturing completely. Think about eunuchs, they were castrated when they were kids and yet they still mature and grow and look like men in the end.

(I can't find the post now, but someone on this thread explained how attempts to suppress T can backfire and make boys grow up even taller.)

This Charlie kid is probably the closest one to looking like a child that I've seen. His body, especially his lower half, looks pretty childish, but his head and shoulders sure don't. It is genuinely offputting how his head and shoulders don't match the rest of his stunted body. I can only imagine how strange he will look over the next few years.

“Puberty Blockers” is a name for the approximation in the same way as “cross-sex hormones”.
Like, “antidepressants” covers a range of drugs that are supposed to treat depression. Depression is complex and multi-faceted and not a button you can press on & off in the form of a pill.
As you said earlier, puberty is complex like this too.
Disrupting the natural development of children can be called “puberty blocking“ if you’re in pharma marketing. But, obviously, it’s not as if the kids are put into a state of suspended animation.

Puberty that begins too early is a symptom of certain health problems. The popularisation of Lupron to prevent menstruation and (“possibly? Hopefully? Let’s see”) delay puberty in girls has a weird history. Partly it’s an issue of treating the symptom instead of the illness. Partly it’s a kind of sexualised panic around girls developing too early, that doesn’t elicit the same response in boys with this problem (which in turn causes missed diagnosis opportunities for boys). In any case, it started as an imperfect attempt to improve health outcomes.

Then we ended up with ‘these are magical pills that just put puberty on pause and give kids time to think’. Which is nonsensical anyway because it’s saying, simultaneously, that development is paused but also the kid is still developing (the ‘thinking’ about it, the time to grow before making a lifelong decision). The idea that is pushed is that puberty is some discrete process that can be stopped whilst normal development continues. And of course that makes no fucking sense, on so many different levels it makes no sense. But this shit happens again and again in the pharmaceutical industry. It would be par for the course if this wasn‘t such a massive moral clusterfuck. I mean, par for the course here is already deeply awful with manipulation of respected journals, of media, of public health messaging. Infiltration of conferences, exploitation of doctors, morally bankrupt doctors, mismanaged healthcare systems.
Creating a fake disorder to fit a drug that has no use or is under-utilised, building comms and marketing around it, attaching a social justice or charitable element, altering diagnostic manuals, paying the WHO for a statement, brokering deals with insurance companies and private provides, with socialised healthcare systems... it’s all about money at the end of the day. Vague autoimmune diseases are a great cash cow.
”Trans children” have arisen from a perfect storm of: widely disseminated misinformation, wilfull & hostile disinformation, pharmaceutical greed, greed in general, untamed sexual perversion & degeneracy in the name of ”feminism” or against “kink-shaming”, mismanaged mental illness, increased ‘virtual living’, disconnection from nature and a grounded sense of self, and the death of experts.

The drugs are bullshit. The surgeries are bullshit. All of this is an absolutely insane moment in time. Even the fact that people are deigning to discuss whether it’s possible to be “born in the wrong body” is full on retarded.

He reminds me a bit of Desmond is Amazing, that's how much of a fake and a child he looks to me, with the fake sexualization and playing dress up, although his face is not that childish. I also find it funny how so many people swoon over how pretty he is, when he puts of a cake of makeup on his face, fake lashes, a wig, and maybe even using filters, who knows. There's so much about the body we don't understand. Hormones are a big part of puberty, but your brain will "grow" without them. It's just ... will those new experiences "stick" as well? Probably not. So multiply that by every other organ and see if you want to cut off sex hormones that do things we don't even KNOW about.

Charley shouldn't get bottom surgery because it'll ruin his life, but he doesn't pass. He looks like a boy in drag, very clearly from some angles. He's on the slender and delicate side now because he's young but he'll become more masculine looking with age just like other boys who were trooned out early.

Jazz story is just sad. If it weren't for his mom I doubt he would've ever have though of being born 'in the wrong body', Looking at Jazz's current way of life, it's hard to see any future that isn't him turning into a forgotten, lonely fat old man. Once his mother dies I doubt he would have any motivation at all to keep taking hormones, going to the doctor, trying to pass or take care of his health - he barely does take care of himself with his mom nagging him.

I do feel bad for such young kids being groomed/being directed straight to the 'you're trans, take hormones, surgery, and you'll be happy' when they are not 100% with themselves - which is actually normal, we ALL feel bad and weird when we are teenagers or even younger adults, feel bad about our appearances, or feel like we're trying to find ourselves, because well, we are - they don't have this opportunity to grow. It sucks, but everyone goes through this in life, and making the issue seem like it's one that will be fixed with medication and surgery seem genuinely easier to them. They are not dealing with life while they're busy pursuing their 'ideal/real body' and when they finally get it, they see they still have the same problems as before, just that they have waste their time and give themselves even more problems, namely health problems.

Again while I do feel bad for boys to loose all their sexual libido/unable to feel anything like Jazz, I always think of older males that transitioned after puberty. They're even worse, because i'm pretty sure 99% are just perverted, woman-hating men that dress as women to satiate whatever kink they have. They always hate women that talk back to them and don't support their delusion- just like other horrible, violent and misogynistic men of the their kind.

I also remember reading a few articles of detransitioners, mostly young women, that fell prey to the same type of grooming. Many of them regretting after a mastectomy or srs. But any detransitioner is fully ignored or ostracized and mocked. I've seen posts, including one that go 'I would rather 100 trans kids/teen to get hrt even if it meant one person regretting it'. The fact that a life would be ruined (and that number would be way higher than 1 in 100) and it's just a side effect it's already sickening. I've also seen posts being against Texas and (I think) Alabama law not supporting chemically castrating children that are not even old enough to have sex, making a tattoo or drink alcohol. Saying it's denying trans kids/teens healthcare - They aren't being denied healthcare, they are being correctly prevented of doing unnecessary hormone treatment.
