There aren't many channels that have managed to self-destruct that bad in that short of a time without being caught with child porn, accused of rape, or something even worse like killing his family. It's sort of impressive, in the way a man falling ten stories and skewering himself by landing asshole-first on a metal pole the width of a time is impressive.

Did all of this start because he didn't pay his taxes? That was the reason why he wasn't marrying, wasn't it? Because he still owed the IRS a lot of taxes.
I think the first inkling of his downfall was his Dude Weed LMAO phase around the time he met may and started being high all the time 2017ish. His work ethic became more chaotic as time went on and he started to alienate more and more fans, delving deep into drama via his digi vs. everybody lolicon debate in 2018. As soon as his editor Davoo left, his content took a further nosedive and weird shit like his autism discussions/neurotyping started happening.

I stopped watching Digi when his weed lmao phase started and he began this series called Highdeas with the dumbest takes I had ever seen.
But compared to his current content this series is Shakespeare. It's impressive how much the bar has been lowered.

It was May who refused to get married 'til his financial shit was in order, specifically taxes I believe. Who knows if that was true or she was making excuses to avoid commitment.

TBH I'm a little sad we missed a married life arc, even though I never expected it to happen.

I remember he mentioned his student debt in the past, for some worthless waste of time degree no doubt. I don't know if he paid it off yet.
It's Digi, what do you expect. He made over 100k+ in a few years yet managed not to pay one cent of taxes on it, never bothered to file his taxes, not only depleting such a large sum of money on weed, eating out at expensive fast food joints and paying ridiculously high rent in Boston for a shitty house instead of thinking of accumulating enough money for a down payment on a house and a mortgage.

At least the back taxes must kill him even more. We don't even know if is higher than 50k, as the last time he openly acknlowledged or indicated a sum was on the dickshow discord in June(?) 2020, where he said it's higher than 40k (correct me, if I misremembered) and that was before having no money for rent and being evicted and he certainly made no visible effort of paying it off and was already bleeding money before then.

That fucker could have cruised for a few more years and would have been relatively set for life, have his own property and maybe even a circle of real friends instead of being a drug addicted loony living out of a prius, screaming into an xbox live headset and selling his piss as art/music while being surrounded by a cult of leeches. But that never was and never will be.

He explicitly mentioned his student debt in one of his recent e-begging videos (the "You have three weeks ..." iirc). Probably wanted to paint himself as victim of US capitalism. What he forgot to mention is that he for all practical purposes dropped out of college almost immediately. Just not formally, to keep it a secret from his parents. Until past the deadline where he could drop out for free.

Ladies and Gentlemen I just realised that today is the 1 year anniversary of Digi trooning out, let's all take a moment to appreciate everything he's achieved in that year:

Became a real life anime loli
Refused all of his previous responsibilities because now he was a woman and women don't have those
Pressured his fiancée to pretend to be a trans man in order to conform to his delusions
Started using a voice changer because he hated his voice, he quickly gave up because it was too much effort to make work
Got his 'husband' to narrate his videos instead
Broke up with his fiancée he had intended to start a family with
Stopped shaving often enough to hide his stubble because it was too much effort
Went from earning $3,095 a month to $853
Moved in with his new druggie friends
Started taking black market HRT
Started having anal sex with his openly gay boyfriend, just like a real anime girl
Deleted all of his popular content, further cutting into his income and making his channel algorithmically dead
Got cucked by the Gunt
Sold his priceless collection of rare media for cents on the street
'Allowed himself to be fired' from his last remaining somewhat successful business venture
Refused to deliver on kickstarter content people had paid him for, stating he didn't respect those backers
Failed to purchase an RV
Started to silently unprivate his videos after he realised he'd killed his channel
Became homeless with his new druggie friends
Performed for maybe 20 people at a no-name venue after the real show for the night had ended
Stopped taking his black market HRT because he ran out of money
Burned bridges with all of his almost decade old friends in favour of his new friends

Phew, what a year! Please feel free to chime in with any other stunning achievements I might have missed!
If only dear feeder was interested in digitroon, I'm sure he could do a great stream.

I wonder if this fucking faggot even feels anything for the death of the greatest manga artist of all time.
Golden Witch Kentaro Miura RIP.PNG

Kek there is no fucking way he has ever had any student debt. He went to community college for like, a year or something. It was probably a few thousand at most and his parents paid for it.

Miura was only 56, we didn't fear he'd up and die for the last decade. That's part of what makes it such a shock
I'm pretty sure there'd been a concern for his health for a while now. Aside from the Idolmaster jokes, I recall it was the one of the more common talking points when people discussed the future of Berserk.

Don't wanna derail the thread too much, but sadly, health issues are very common in manga, as at least working on a mainline title for a big publisher can be super stressful and time consuming. Kishimoto, who made Naruto in 1999 could only go on vacation for his honeymoon with his wife in 2014, when Naruto was finished, 15 years after he married.

Togashi, of Hunter X Hunter fame, you can meme Hiatus X Hiatus all you want, but he seemingly got legit nerve damage in his back and neck now, hindering himself from drawing for prolonged amounts of time. If I'm correct, he was also the one, who made a calculation that on an optimal day, he can sleep for 5 hours and has like 30 minutes leisure time per day.

Keep in mind, there are also cases where the opposite is true, say, like Araki, who consistently does Jojo since 1988 and seemingly is the Keanu Reeves of mangaka, considering his looks and age (60 years).

I think it's an issue for both parties, editors/publishers/fans that can be very demanding in terms of schedule and product quality, but also creators that literally breathe their art every second and can obsess over work (rightfully so) but get lost in their work too. To me, Miuras passion was evident and it is very sad to see him go. I read his first Berserk volume 18 years ago and was a fan ever since.

For sure.

One of the earliest cases I remember hearing about was Yukito Kishiro, of GUNM/Battle Angel Alita fame. The original Alita manga got a sudden ending, and when I looked into it, apparently he thought he was on his way out, so he came up with an ending rather than dying with an unfinished work. When he recovered, he started a new Alita manga, picking up from right before the point he transitioned the story into the original ending.
I'm not up to date with Alita, but I think he's currently doing a prequel of sort.

>Rest in power :story:

I see Digi is still trying to hold on to the leftist troon enablers who still give him money by co-opting their vernacular. Hard to believe he was a lolbert (lolibert?) just a little more than a year ago.

But for real though, I just started re-reading Berserk earlier this month and I'm devastated by Miura's passing, even though I knew it was probably gonna happen sooner or later given his record for going on hiatuses for health reasons.

Kishimoto also only got one week off of publishing for the death of his father. Manga schedules are killer. Again super off topic. But Supereyepatchwolf has a great video on shonen jump and talks about how the newer series being published online may finally be loosening the killer schedule of manga publishing.

To be fair the murder schedule is mostly a shounen jump thing anyways
