On the 28th of May, on Friday, he states he has been talking to this guy for a while and he was going to tell him that he's trans.
From what we know from Daniel's comment replies, he was talking to this guy exclusively on Snapchat and was meeting him for the first time.
It seems as though this backfired immensely, as Daniel was beaten up, presumably by this same guy.
This story was posted yesterday morning, the 29th, and promptly deleted. A few minutes after deleting the story, he makes a post saying that he is safe, and posts another video showing his injuries on that night (a bloody nose and a swollen cheekbone).
He states that people are "working on it", meaning trying to find the guy who did this.
He also posted thanking people for the nice messages and making a statement on black trans women.
The outpouring of support on Instagram was overwhelming today and yesterday, from some pretty big trans public figures as well.
We also have the return of this girl, who apparently came to pick Dany up.
Moving onto Daniel's TikTok presence, he duetted his last video saying it was a bad idea to not tell him before meeting.
It's good that he's backpedaling on this shit take, but it sucks that it took him getting beaten up for it to get through his thick skull.
Daniel also got angry at comments even hinting that he got what he deserved, or that he shouldn't have waited to tell.

I think this person means that trans women pretend to not be trans when dating by making fake social media accounts. This wasn't the case here, but this person brings up a valid point. Why didn't they exchange social medias? Daniel seems to only use Snapchat for dating, seemingly for this specific reason. The comment didn't make much sense, but Daniel's response makes even less sense. How does being a woman tie into this whatsoever?
This is what happens when you don't tell someone you're trans and stay alone with him. I'm perplexed as to why he put himself in this situation, when he said he was almost beaten up by a guy recently. Why would he do this again? It seems like he's been pushing his luck a bit too much, and it eventually backfired.
This could've gone much, much worse. I don't think he realizes how serious this is and how much danger he put himself in. He could've been killed. Daniel is a shell of a man. Hormones and puberty blockers cause muscle and bone atrophy, which is worsened by the fact that Daniel never works out, is super out of shape and has a gaping, infected wound where his dick used to be.
This is obviously very sad and unfortunate for the trans community, as it has to be very disheartening to see one of your own get beaten up. However, I can't help but feel that this is the wake up call Dany needs. He needs to stop manipulating straight men into dating him and then be surprised when they fight back. You can advocate for trans rights without getting hatecrimed yourself.

I was actually thinking about that as well, but didn't want to put that out as a hypothesis quite yet, since we didn't have the full picture. I wanted to wait a bit for the whole situation to be clearer so I could give him the benefit of the doubt.
Now that things have calmed down, I really do think he did this for clout. He's not that dense that he didn't see this coming, as people have warned him.
I can see a few possibilities:

That would be the most ass-backwards read on "disclose you're trans" I've ever seen. No one is saying "disclose you're trans after weeks of leading the guy on thinking you're a natal woman". It's always "be up-front about it". It's the only thing those pride flags on everybody's bios are good for: warning you not to stick your dick in crazy. And that's why disclosure is a protection mechanism, it's there to weed out the guys who would, for example, have a violent reaction to being told the tits they were lusting after belong to someone they don't consider a woman.

I think this is likely. I think Dany got cocky and thought he could pull it off and either he told the guy, or the guy saw that the person in front of him looked much more like a gay man than in the pictures.

And that would be done epecially fast for what I guess would be considered a hate crime?
If such a crime occurred and they contacted the police I doubt they would be under the impression that they need to do any investigative work like finding his last name... Or they posted about it before contacting the police? If that's the type of person they are and this is legit they would post more about it.

The curfew he's referring to is the Covid curfew put into place in Gatineau by the Quebec government. It's been on and off since February, but has been lifted as of last Friday.
It's so shitty of him to blame this incident on people telling him to disclose that he's trans. No, Dany, no one told you to reveal to a complete stranger that you are trans in the passenger seat of a moving car. People told you to disclose before ever meeting him in person, preferably to disclose it as one of the very first things you message someone.

I saw this idea posted earlier today and it really got me thinking. I had thought of that before, but it just seemed a bit too unlikely. Now that the situation is a bit clearer and we can see Daniel's reaction to the events, I'm inclined to believe he could've faked the injuries with makeup.
All the videos he has posted since the alleged attack have him posed either partially or completely covering the injured side of his face. He's also been unwilling to answer questions or give further details as to who this person was. He kind of just seems like he wants everyone to forget about it.
The only information we have on the alleged attacker is from Daniel's initial Instagram story (which was deleted not even half an hour after it was posted), that said his name was Fred.
As you said, you'd think that if he had been the victim of a hate crime he would want to find this Fred by any means necessary, maybe posting his Snapchat username or phone number or anything else he might have. He probably has a general idea of what the guy's car looked like, maybe even the make and model. Why would he be secretive about this?
He might've posted that first story and used "Fred" as a fake name, then realized it could get a real, innocent Fred in trouble so he decided against it.
I don't want to assume things without having definitive proof, but I do believe this was either staged or exaggerated. I doubt we'll get any more information unless an arrest is made.
I found this interactive map on crime in Gatineau, which is mostly for statistics purposes, as there are no details of arrests made or the people who committed the crimes. It's not very useful whatsoever.
I think the only way to get documents would be to contact the local police department directly, as there's no way of seeing Gatineau police arrests on their website unless they post it themselves in a featured article. I might be retarded, though, I feel like I'm missing something. I'll take a closer look at this tomorrow.
