You can have cordial relations, you can be friendly but at the end of the day he goes home to his family and you go home to yours.If that someone was able to fit in I'd gladly accept him as a close friend while calling my brother an idiot for being an idiot. I'd still care for my brother, of course, but I wouldn't pretend he's a good person.
You consider many people below you then, because anyone who has a family and cares about them fits the criteria you just set out. Mothers and fathers help their kids even if other kids are smarter, better looking or stronger. Brothers stick together even if they have friends that might be more virtuous people. Treating your family as if they're just other strangers and judging them by some strange objectivity is ironically an action that would show you to be a person of low worth.I've always considered people who think like that to be below me. I can't imagine judging people's worth by their biology instead of their actions, it seems like such a primitive thing to do.
