I was on a work call the other day and this guy from up north and I were the first ones on and we were chatting, I don’t know the guy, but not thinking, I just casually mentioned an activity we’ve been in all year he was like wait...did you mean this is something from before the pandemic? How are you doing that now? And I said oh uhh...listen, thing is, whether or not anyone agrees with it, life this past year has been very different down here in than it has been there, friend. My barber has been closed since the start of March, as per Dougie's rules, and isn't allowed to reopen until September, assuming this all goes according to plan. Will he even be able to reopen by that point? How many people have to lose their livelihoods to this shit? I thought all this would be done with completely by August, especially looking at how well states like Florida and Texas are doing, but we're looking at continuing into the Fall. And, oh boy, of course cases will rise in the fall, so we'll have to go back a step or two. And if not enough people want the jab, they'll dangle this roadmap in front of us, and blame our lack of progress on the non-compliant, and guilt us into getting it. I hate my country so goddamn much

How they decide what is essential and non-essential? The whole creepy thing about the pandemic is that the whole world basically gave the state a precedent that if we have enough spooky TV ads they can just shut down whole sectors of industry arbitrarily.

This does sound like what they are going for--permanent masking of the unvaxxed to single them out socially and punish them. Public humiliation, a scarlet letter which causes physical discomfort. Certainly Biden and Harris have been doubling down on that lately.

OTOH, when people start to realize they will need 3-6 month "booster shots" to avoid the muzzles, there will be pushback even from the vaxxed.

I've said it before, but 2020 really was a year from hell. 2020 seems to be the worst year in American history after WW2. Ultimately he is an entertainer, but the fact that he was really deplatformed from a lot of places really gives his energetic rants some street cred. Some how the guy I follow, got nuked of YouTube after pointing out how science changed about the masks in the early days of the thing.
