It's possible he didn't watch the video before commenting and when he actually did, he noticed the dig at his merch, got all upset about it and took back the comment.
Perhaps this could be the case [and knowing Dream, or at least how he presents himself publicly, I actually find it quite likely], but I find it particularly interesting that it was deleted after the stans started to take notice.

It is a fun thread to keep up with and I thank those who do their part in making that the case.

Initially I didn't care one iota about Dream or anything surrounding him until his retarded attempts at cheating in Minecraft. Then you find out he's almost certainly an ego maniac with multiple senseless lies and a rabid fan base that is, as an entity, legally retarded and he abuses this for actual profit.
I doubt he's a hamplanet but no one is actually the cute anime boy (or girl) crazy young fans tend to idolize and fostering this ideal image can only backfire so he's dug himself a few holes.
He's also a one-trick pony so inevitably he will crash and burn like CaptainSparklez and co, except his ego is probably much less capable of dealing with slipping back into relative obscurity.

I'm hoping he pulls a Joji and tries to become some sort of "artist", all the while relying on audio and visual editors to carry him through and probably someone else writing the lyrics.

Just don't be upset when him and his group start doing fake diss tracks on each other to try and Sidemen their way to even more views.

Fun lil' tidbit, the person who made the background for the lyrics video of Dream's ditty actually traced that shit. (Apologies for no archive, I'm on mobile rn.)
Tracing a piece and then passing it as your own is a major art sin. It is theft and legitimately makes me sick when someone yoinks someone's work, changes a detail or two and calls it "my own original piece". If you do that you are fucking scum.
The discount human that traced that art calls it a "reference" to the original.
Stans are, naturally, supporting her.

Fitting, how both Dream and his putrid audience take shortcuts in what they do.

Not directly traced? As opposed to what, indirectly traced? The composition is identical.

Did no one in high school learn to credit their work? Because if this piece of shit just credited the work instead of trying to pass it off as his own then most people, including myself, wouldn't give a shit.

Holy moly. The artist could have at least tried to steal off of something lesser well known. Lo-fi girl usually has 20k-50k users for their streams. That particular stream the art was stolen from has 5k viewers at this very moment. This is up there with tracing the mona lisa and passing it off as original artwork.

From what I've heard from other artists Dream has commissioned in the past, he pays pretty damn well (and for the actual artists who don't trace I'd hope he does, with the amount of money he has to throw around). So not only was this a traced commission, this was possibly a ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR traced commission. Yikes!
