UK Alpha TERF Julie Bindel responds to Cathy Brennan: "The US is not exactly a country in which oppressed and marginalised people can feel safe and secure."
This is a bit old but I personally first got wind of this after watching this video segment:
From Julie Bindel's article:
LMAO, the US is literally one of the safest places if not the safest place on the whole planet to be LGBT. If Julie Bindel disbelieves this she should book a trip to the US after the pandemic. Does the UK even have a MichFest of its own? There you go. America has them, the UK doesn't. The EU on the other hand is importing large numbers of radical extremists who hate all women (especially Western women whom they consider to be "whores" that they are allowed to sexually abuse as long as they keep their own girls "safe" whom they also sexually abuse and rape), hate LGBT, hate "infidel" non-believers, etc., and think very little of terrorizing and murdering their objects of hate to declare their superiority over them. Anyway, Julie's generation of politically correct "intersectional" feminists will realize way too late what all this PC intersectionalism she prides herself on has brought into their midst.

I saw when he [Biden] signed that order, #TERFs trended on Twitter for 36 hours. It was crazy, because it was talking about how mad the TERFs are now. And that really bothered me because it was like gleeful celebration at how angry TERFs were. No consideration what it meant for women and girls. It was like joy at upsetting the TERFs.
From Julie Bindel's article:
But US politics around this issue are very different to those of the UK. For example, in the UK trans people have legal protection against abuse, discrimination and unjust treatment. The US is not exactly a country in which oppressed and marginalised people can feel safe and secure. For example, women have no right to maternity leave, and there is an ongoing threat that the constitutional right to abortion will be lost. When Trump banned transgender people from serving in the military it was part of a mindset that promotes discrimination against LGBT people in general.
On this side of the Atlantic, women’s groups fighting to maintain women’s hard-won sex based rights, like Woman’s Place UK, tend to be socialists and progressives that adopt a truly intersectional approach in that they recognise how class oppression, poverty and racism affects women. They abhor everything that Trump stands for. They would never make common cause with anyone like him.

Don't dismiss Joe Biden on a single issue - The Post
When Joe Biden signed the Executive Order Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation yesterday — his first day as president of the United States — there were sighs of despair from the US ‘gender critical’ movement. It seems the new...unherd.com
