I used to watch a lot of ‘edu-tubers’ back in the day. It’s worth noting half the channels on that list are woke AF.
Veritasium and Minute Physics have both done videos sponsored by Google. And sister channel Minute Earth frequently takes money from Bill and Melinda Gates. Tom Scott, in a (now deleted) video from 2016, said “not the people who voted for Trump are bigots, but all the bigots voted for Trump” and his videos (while they are mostly very good) often contain subtle messages about blurring the lines of socially constructed categories. Kurzgesgt completely misrepresented the argument against the EU in one of their videos where they tried to be impartial (they didn’t even frame it as an argument against further EU integration, but rather as an argument against its very existence). It’s hard to list just one thing woke about ASAP Science but they are perhaps the wokest on the list. And I don’t know much about PBS Space Time, but their sister channel PBS Eons added a fucking land acknowledgent to the credits of one of its videos. Crash Course promotes wokeshit all the time on their community tab, and is currently putting out a black history course that I know (I just know) will heavily promote the white privilege/CRT narrative, and SciShow is run by the same people.
And that’s just off the top of my head.
As far as I’m aware though, Vsauce, CGP Grey, Numberphile, and Smarter Every Day have never publicly gone woke, despite having numerous opportunities to do so. I don’t know much about the others, but I’m pretty sure with all this being said, it would add up to more than half the list.
