I've always wondered if that's actually the case or if it's just another instance of Reddit-tier insincere kindness. I don't really see all that much negativity directed towards vtubers outside of the chans/antis/us.

Considering how most fanbases of vtubers are made up of sycophants, it's hard to say. Either way, they're prone to taking even insincere kindness seriously because maybe their oshis will give them asspats for it.

I doubt Kiaras Vshojo collab will ever happen and I kinda hope it doesn't. Not because of tribalist shit but because none of it would be entertaining or fitting imo, granted I don't know shit about Veibae. - Clip of Veibae from 7 months ago before she joined VShojo resurfaces where she talks shit about Cover during the Aloe/Taiwan incident, wherein she "apparently" talked with a former Hololive idol about the shitty working conditions of Hololive, and that Holo talents are "fake"
- Holofans get angry
- Reddit and Twitter catch wind of this, posts about the clip makes the rounds on twitter and r/hololive
- Veibae starts copyright striking the clips
- Veibae address said clip, mostly doubles down and says it's out of context and outdated since it was from before she joined VShojo.
- Holofans get angrier.
- Collab is cancelled

To be honest, I'd rather the collab doesn't happen at all. I remember when HoloEN first debuted, I think it was Ame who said one of the JP talents was streaming, all the newtards went and raided, scaring the living shit out of the JP talents, enraging the usual quiet JP viewers. I remember it was slight shit show for a time while the "etiquette" of watching Holo talents made the rounds. I'll be honest, I prefer the quiet watching versus the sperg out of chat (primary reason I said fuck twitch too, streamers and twitch made it to a point where chat is just full retard 24/7).

Now imagine a new batch of retards coming from Twitch and they're part of the Vshojo fanbase. On twitch, these retards could get away with sending their shitty porno donos because Vshojo runs on little talent/no talent + boobs and farts. I can see the shit show and the fallout from these fucktards "joining" the Holo fanbase. Fuck, some of em might just do it for the lulz and troll and shit, but it def would leave a bad taste for the Holo fanbase. It might cause any future collabs outside of Hololive just be a too risky of a venture unless its with another corpo with similiar MO like Niji, NoriPro, VOMS etc

I believe the collab could have been salvageable if Veibae did not double down on the accusatory clip. I know VShoujo is a loose corpo, but at least teach them some basic business etiquette or something, or just tard wrangle the talents once in a while
