Still hard to call that a win for him when he lost so much money from owning and doing nothing with it.

It's true what they say around here: Phil is his own greatest detractor. And this is quite possibly the most egregious example, too, because not only did he pay HOA fees for years, but he missed out on renting it out, and/or eventually short-selling, by being a stupid asshole. That's more money than he could possibly have wasted on gacha by now.

It's incredible that that not-so-secret black hole is turning out to NOT be the most embarrassing way that Phil has wasted a metric fuck ton of money. I mean it's pretty bad to spend that much for wrestling jpegs, but imagine if we never found that account. He would STILL be a giant fucking idiot, over his Connecticut condo alone.

Fuck the deficiency, he has already wrecked himself here more than MidFirst could.
From my lazy estimate, DSP spent $80K on the CT condo after he moved out. Even raised, the value of the condo now is only $90K, up from $60K.

DSP spent more than the pre-Covid value of the condo in just 4 years to leave it empty and unmaintained.

Oh yeah, don't forget to include repair bills. They are going to tack that shit on.

But, Midfirst (at least this part of Midfirst) buys debt bundles from banks/etc that don't want to deal with collections and such. I would assume Phil got bundled in to offload 'bad' debt. He's definitely not the juicy stuff Midfirst cares about buying.
They strike me as kind of bottom feeders who buy up these bundles of debt packaged with crap like what Phil has because that's the only way you can sell this stuff, but since that stuff is cheap, it's worth it to put a little effort into it. I'm going to assume they intend to do this and that's why they're listing it on their expected future bills.

I'd be surprised if there isn't a case saying what the rule is. Maybe they're just hoping he blows it off and defaults like dumb douchebag he is. Or maybe they're actually right. Not much point speculating until they actually file something.

It's a combination of Phil's idiocy and Pigroach luck.

If he'd just used the $120,000 he was making a year to pay the mortgage, he could have sold at a profit (that's assuming years of making payments paying down the balance owed, of course, which he didn't) and not destroyed his credit with a bankruptcy.

HOWEVER...COVID came along at just the right time and made it the best time to sell a house in decades. So in two years Phil gained $30,000 in value on a condo he didn't even want. Of course none of that matters if MidFirst doesn't go after the money owed, but the pandemic did Phil a big favor. Because of course it did.

For him the pandemic was incredibly advantageous in more ways than one.

More people at home sitting around doing nothing, more people tuned in to boost his stream and YouTube views, more stimulus floating around and sitting in people's wallets, some the piggies spent it on him etc.

Was there any audio recording of Yacht Guy saved? I watched it live on that asshole fake creditor's Twitch but I think he deleted the VOD after. That shit was the best part of the bankruptcy hearing imo.
as far as im aware, none of the recording caught yacht guy, the only way to hear him was to be listening to it live

The meeting was supposed to be audio recorded for the public record. As far as I know nobody requested a copy because we already got several direct recordings for free of the DSP portion. I'm sure you could still buy a copy if you were desperate to hear it again and couldn't dig a full recording up. Go ahead, and archive it if you do buy it.

Cross posting from the other thread but Phil has been formally mailed a notice of the default judgment. MidFirst is claiming he owes them just under $4,500 in attorney's fees and will be taking possession of the property on 29 July unless Phil or the condo board intervenes. This is independent of the approximately $23,000 deficiency on the property itself which may not exist (as in, be enforceable) until the final sale goes through.

To head off the obvious questions I'm not sure if any of this debt is unenforceable due to the bankruptcy discharge either but I'm near certain that Phil thinks it all is. I'd be a little confused if MidFirst went through all this effort only to not try and collect but this whole case has been confusing frankly.

Imho Midfirst made a triple win so far: they got property for cheap (I would assume that they bought several mortages for cheap), the property increased in value and Phil had to pay HoA for 2 years despite not paying the mortgage any more. If they want to claimthe laywer fees then this might be the cherry on top. Phil's luck so far is that the condo actually gained value which will probably make him seeth. And come August his whales might ask "why do you need so much money you have 400 $ less to pay each month" (which is one day of succesful tips goals mind you) And do you really think Phil would pay 4.5 k $ at once? He will ask for a payment plan and pay it little by little(if that is possible). Ofcourse if Midfirst thinks that Philalso owes them the deficency now THAT would make things way more interesting though I doubt it (as mentioned before imho Midfrst has won already several times)

Even if it's not the full deficiency judgement (yet) I'm still glad he's on the hook for something in the thousand dollar magnitude. Hopefully it makes him sweat a little more.

Incoming salt bomb when Phil finds out. Its gonna a be huge.

I'm gonna be that guy, but I don't think Phil's going to lose anything other than the HOA fees he's already paid out.

Bankruptcy is going to protect him from deficiencies and other fees. And Phil will finally accomplish the whole reason why did this, which is to get rid of the CTondo.

The only way for Phil to mess this up is for him to completely ignore this. While bankruptcy is a defense against debt collection, it does need to be raised, and if he fails to do so, he'd be liable for all that money.

But, with that said, I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing any salt from this. If anything, he might be a happy piggy.

Was the ct condo debt wiped during his bankruptcy? If it wasn't it sounds like they will be granted the deficiency. Be interesting if he flys to CT to appear or ignores it.

Dood do you know how imphassabal that is? literally no machoor adults can get on a plane and just...-t pose- fly over to another state! He's got a bizzniss to run and he's so busy and khat would die of starvation if phil didn't take her grocery shapping, just think of his family!! absolute idiot.. -snake laught into limb-

but no, Phil will sit on his hands and beg OiC for the money because that's worked just fine before. unless his house is on fire or the dang trolls got into his wwe account there isn't much that would upset the sacred wall-schedule nor Phil's routine of video games, gatcha and 3am twitter.

Possibly, its also possible Midfirst is going to fight it. I honestly don't know.

Also fyi no the bankruptcy isn't going to cover Lawyer fees, thats on a whole other side.

That docket mentions he is on hook for 4k in fees even if they dont win the deficiency.
Incoming emergency fundraising stream?

I can just hear it now...

"Those morans over at Midfirst say I owe thousands....THOUSANDS...in lawyer fees that I...ME...REE....have to pay. So, once again, I'm behind, and I'm relying on you, my viewers, to help me out."
