A lot of trannies use their mental illnesses as a sob story to hustle money out of strangers on the internet, I can't tell if this is an attempt at that or if they are genuinely this broken.

Sharkboy has quite a well documented history and he does appear to be that broken. He has no support system as far as I know but Sweden's government is keeping him alive. He is a very mentally ill man who trooned out because he desperately wanted a straight boyfriend, that really appears to be his only reason for transitioning as many of his posts are about how his life has no meaning if he doesn't have a boyfriend.

Honestly, the government putting him in care and on a pension is probably the best thing for him because he will never be functional, but I see only suicide in his future to be honest. I don't think he will cope living with other mentally ill people in a house or flat or something, these people aren't going to hold his hand and validate him 24/7.

You do realize that 16 year olds are still developing and don't understand a lot about the world, right?

I do - my original post was specifically in the context of 'ways people who transitioned as kids might be able to sue their parents'. It was not saying "yes, 16 year olds are capable of deciding to troon out and should be allowed to". Fuck no. I meant that, by the time you hit 16-ish, a lot of the kids trooning at that point are the ones asking to be trooned out. They still shouldn't be, because they're 16 and dumb and probably need therapy or to get off social media for a bit, and the parents are a still culpable and have a duty of care. But it's a much less clear-cut case if you try and take your parents to court under "I was 16 and begged to be allowed on testosterone and said I'd kill myself if they wouldn't let me, and then they let me", versus "I was 5 and said I liked to wear pretty dresses and play with barbies, and mommy and daddy decided that meant I was a girl and put me on experimental drugs that turned my bones to dust".

There's also strong legal precedent for 16-year-olds etc. being allowed to make their own medical decisions (birth control and abortion spring to mind, but also stuff where the parents are anti-vax and the kid wants a vaccination etc.) provided they can prove they fully understand the implications of the decision they're making. Whether anyone can provide informed consent to experimental medications/procedures where doctors deliberately downplay or ignore risks is another question, but we expect more agency and capacity from someone in their late teens than from a kid-kid.

The frustrating and honestly telling thing about modern trannyism is that it’s very much a symptom of being terminally online. When you’re hiding behind pixels on a screen and no one actually needs to look you in your mentally ill, narcissistic face, it’s far easier to sympathize and pretend that it’s all real and valid.

On the internet you can slap all your fancy progressive gender special labels in your profile bio, you can barge into any conversation and announce that you’re stunning and brave and people will be forced to acknowledge you or get banned. It’s cornering people into giving a desired reaction, and it’s easier to find groups of like-minded people since you’re no longer restricted by physical location limitations.

not to mention online things like demiboy, agender, and nonbinary are real things on the internet and not meaningless words used by people who are going to be clocked in public faster than you can say “gender euphoria”. On Reddit you earn little awards and get hundreds of comments sucking your cock for saying you’re a tranny whereas irl you’ll get nothing but weird looks, forced smiles, and the knowledge that no one in their right minds will ever see you as a real woman/man.

The vast majority of the girls and women enforcing the destructive vindictive protectiveness that greases the wheels of social media have yet to realize that what they think of as being properly kind - ie indulging troons and pretending to go along with it - is actually highly insulting to the troon. They don’t realize that them #be(ing)kind isn’t satisfying to the troon at all. They have to also pretend they aren’t pretending. And they have to pretend even harder when the troon inevitably gets less satisfied with a past round of reassurance and spins up into demanding more validation. Then, they’ll have to pretend even LOUDER and with more emotion and at some point they’ll have to pay up, sexually, either with their own bodies or by trying to coerce others into servicing the troon.

They think they know how to deal with a troon while still not having to re-litigate their dedication to the troon cause regularly, or have unwanted sex to prove their belief in fairies troons. But they don’t, and they all learn in time. Normies just trying to be kind can just cease interacting with troons, but those “in the community” can’t escape. But, reform can only come from inside the community, so perhaps someday they’ll peak.
