I'm sorry but what rights are being relinquished here? Also its a matter of hospitals being overwhelmed and lacking ventilators. There were doctors having to make decisions on who gets a ventilator and who doesn't. It may look like a small number but translated to our medical systems this causes very serious problems with handling a virus on this scale. All of those people getting sick take up capacity when other people need treatment for other emergencies and this causes very serious problems just looking at what happened in Italy. There is also the unknown factor of it mutating and getting worse since it's a viral pandemic. The situation is serious, I use WWII as an example because people did choose to leave their lights on. You had situations where all it took was one person to make a lot of people's lives much worse which is pretty unfair and at worst criminal negligence. Like a guy in South Korea who infected his entire church congregation while he was sick and started the whole thing up again after it was brought down to a manageable degree.

It's not about what rights are being relinquished, it's the sinister intent with which they're being relinquished. Nobody in WWII England wanted the war. They didn't want to be bombed. They didn't want to send their young men to die in France or North Africa.

However, with Covid, there are many groups that have demonstrated a transparent and blatant desire to keep hold of the powers the pandemic has allowed them to temporarily seize. These groups have no interest in curing the disease, nor do they have any interest in simply opening everything back up. They also have no interest in letting you realize how tenuous and illusionary their powers actually are.

I was pretty astonished to hear the BBC of all lunatic hack marketplaces admit on air that the government didn't have a single leg to stand on when it came to legally enforcing any of their bullshit 'guidelines'. They have maintained a stranglehold on society and suppressed the rights of the individual to an insane degree, without ever once signing a single piece of binding legislation saying they actually have the authority to do these things. This should terrify people.

We are faced with two choices here.

On the one hand, we have the vague implication that this virus 'might get worse' if we don't follow the rules to their letter.

On the other, we have an authoritarian system slowly but surely crushing the independence out of society, strangling small enterprise in favor of megacorporations, suppressing free speech, constantly altering the goalposts of what is and isn't considered a Covid death, etc. All backed by media that has pushed blatant lies and ludicrous contradictions as fact, while shamelessly altering the narrative whenever it suits them.

Protests are super-spreader events, until black people start protesting. Then they're harmless.

Masks are worthless, then they're essential, but only if they're N95 grade or better. Now anything is a mask, and they're always essential, even if they're just a random strip of cloth that says specifically on the packet it has no medical use.

Etc, etc, etc.

If it's a choice between kowtowing to this system of provably nonsensical gibberish and two-faced 'experts' who ignore evidence the moment it becomes convenient to do so and facing a 0.01% chance of death from the sniffles, I know which camp I'll be in.

Edit: TLR; I will only accept government rules I believe have been created with the best interest of the citizen at heart. If it inconveniences me to follow rules set up for the benefit of others, then that is perfectly acceptable to me. CDC says all vax get years of testing to secure safety. We all know the Covid vax did not. The blurb links to general vaccine info, not Covid vaccine info.

What kind of testing or investigation would be conducted if no one bore scrutiny and hid away troubling information? How can the vaccines ever be developed to be more secure and effective in the future if no one questions anything?

This agenda is pointedly anti-science, especially if the algorithm particularly targets posts linking to studies or articles. It can have terrible ramifications not just on this issue but with any sharing of news or studies deemed "harmful" by BigTech. How else would we know about the CDC using data from Singapore to exaggerate outdoor Covid transmission risk if not for people sharing the article?

Air on planes is fully changed frequently. You aren’t sitting in recirculated air for hours at a time. Most of the danger is the people sitting in close contact to you, within a few rows at most.

Planes simply are not that dangerous when it comes to COVID.

On the subject of "Nuremberg Code" as it relates to Covid vax, I found an article.

This article already pissed me off by yet again implying concern is coming from anti-vaxxers alone, however it isn't just semantics on this issue. Although concern for the Covid vaccines is legitimate, the vaccination roll-out is not a mass experiment. If anything, we've learned even on this page alone that there's more experimentation that needs to be done but so many aren't willing to discuss that or even allow others to discuss it.
The vaccines are experimental but the dispensation of the vaccines is not an experiment. Really the issue isn't about Nuremberg Code but basic science and ethics, something BigPharma and even regulatory agencies have had a troubled relationship with in the past, to say the least.
