I wouldn't have such a problem with pride parades if they'd be honest and just say they want gay leather men, penis floats, and drag queens to be the main attractions. But no, they want to lie and say it's family friendly and that people should bring their kids. Hence all the push back Shoe is receiving when she argues with these people. Kids shouldn't be anywhere near this shit.

I still find Pride parades in the US redundant because gays can already do most things, like marriage and adoption. That said, if they wanted a kink parade, they can do so if it’s adult only and out of the way (as in, not held in an area where kids can see it). If they want a family type of parade, they can have that too, but it can’t have kink. Trying to do both at the same time is obnoxious and helps give people justifiable reasons to not really accept gays (therefore working against their interests). I notice that the common defenses are things like Mardi Gras with straight people, but the thing about that is that the adult events are separate from the family ones, as they should be.

Shoe can’t form a nuanced opinion to save her life and her floundering in the debates she’s had over this issue shows it. Due to her own past, it would have been better to sit this one out, but since other Breadtube members are talking about it too, like Vaush, she has to be an attention whore. I notice during this whole debate that Shoe has pretty much been “no u” instead of actually arguing the points being made. It would actually do her a lot of good to learn how to argue the points the opposition makes instead of jumping to things like “they’re defending pedophiles. It’s all there in my screenshots”. Arguing the points takes more effort though, so of course she wouldn’t do it.
