I could go into detail about how female celebs experience the constant sexualization and the suffocating misogynistic expectations that society puts on them (see Britney Spears), but honestly it's probably because of the instant career boost you get. Notice how all of these celebs that are trooning out were losing relevance. Demi's new album apparently did very good so I'll take that statement back, but trooning out still is good publicity

She looks like she gained weight. Im willing to bet that her covid 19 was a covid 40, she didn't participate in stereotypical female grooming like makeup and manicures, and now she feels "less of a woman" so thus she concluded that she's "no longer a woman".

She has an eating disorder, she claims that when she was thin she was literally dying reee, so in the last few years she's been stuffing her face and then losing weight and then stuffing her face again, and having a little overdose for shits and giggles. This certainly isn’t always the case but I’ve noticed that men seem to troon out because it’s a fetish primarily, and the attention and validation seems like an added bonus, whereas for women it’s the opposite.
