How did George Carlin put it? Eventually all you'll need for a college degree is to show up with a pulse and a pencil?

At some point we're just going to have to admit that there's something wrong with Black students and no amount of rich white liberals keeping them in ghettos like some sort of insane ant farm screaming RACIST at us will change that. Could be racial (but we're still a major cultural shift before that's something that can even be thought), but it's almost definitely cultural as well.

Arresting black women if their deranged monkey spawn disrupt class or are truant might help. Refusing to fail people or "give them 50% just for existing" or other insane lefty ways to cover up black performance might help. Cutting off welfare to stop incentivizing having 8 kids with 7 fathers (none of whom are at home) would probably help.

But all of that would require recognizing and admitting there's a problem. And as long as they can just scream RACIST to solve all their ills, we're not going to see any progress.

Just lack of interest mostly. South America has a notable lack of scientific progress even in the areas mostly populated from Europe like Argentina, while also sharing the black American problems of drugs/gangs. If your society doesn't value research very much then that's what you get.

A lot of progressives are pushing back against the SAT for college admissions because black students do worse, and it hurts their feelings.

I doubt it does mostly. The main reason these demographics perform worse is that most of them don't really care. The same goes for white people from trashy backgrounds, or Latin America in general.

Speaking as a former child (big powerlevel, I know), children do whatever scores them points with their friends, whether that means dressing a certain way or posting specific things on social media. Once the lefty angle no longer gives them social clout, they'll do to it what children do to anything that ceases to be popular: pretend it no longer exists.

When teaching math you can focus too much on the right answer. I think it's much more important to understand the method how to get right answer. The method allows you not only get more right anwers but to tell computers how to calculate what you need it to calculate and see if it's doing right. Still that's how far it goes, right anwers still matter alot and nothing about it is racist. Math is absolutely least racist thing out there there is because it doesn't matter who or what is doing the calculating, only if the numbers match.

Someone once suggested that eventually we're going to break out of this algorithmically enforced cultural stagnation that's keeping the 1980s perpetually on the edge of our cultural landscape -- and once that happens, the children of the 80s are going to lose their fucking minds.

I am now convinced that will be absolutely nothing compared to when being transsexual or playing with gender tropes or pretending "identities" are a thing is no longer trendy. It's going to be beauitful.
