Olly I just want you to know that being gay can get you killed in many countries. Also "what other people may do freely".... are you fucking stupid or are you just pretending to be? Same-sex marriage is only legal in 29 countries, with the U.S. legalizing gay marriage in 2015 and the U.K. doing so nation-wide just last year, so don't act like every """cis""" person can (or has always been able to) freely get married. You just need to apply for a fucking certificate and you can freely get married.

Did these people even consider themselves women? Or were they just drag queens? And Olly’s obligatory race commentary sounds pulled right from his ass.
Anyway I can’t imagine looking at those pics and not feeling revulsion and/or pity. BURGEONING.
Olly implies that the black trannies were arrested for being trans, which isn't the case.
1) Jim got arrested for having whiskey in his car while driving: "Officers pulled him over for McHarris' car having improper lighting and noted he had a pint of whiskey in the car". He faced no legal repercussions for being trans, which was discovered after an officer pat him down, although he did decide to move after some of his former girlfriends became upset with him after being outed.
"As he gathered his belongings and prepared to move to Jackson, he said in the article 'I ain't done nothing wrong and I ain't breaking no laws'. He also made the decision to live his life permanently as a man. But one thing Jim McHarris didn't do was register as all US men had to do at that time for the draft. When EBONY asked him why, he quipped, "Man, I ain't crazy." But in every other respect, Jim McHarris was happy to be treated as one of the boys and made certain he lived his life that way to the best of his ability."
As a side-note: these 'trans men' were mostly butch lesbian women that decided to live their lives as men out of survival. They still frequented lesbian bars and dated femme lesbians (for the most part). This is my understanding after reading Stone Butch Blues and a few other novels on butch/femme history. Of course there are still women that lived their lives as men just to escape misogyny (such as James Barry, who lived her life as a man so she could become a doctor).

2) Lucy Hicks Anderson owned a speakeasy and brothel (wow what a feminist trans icon), the first time she was arrested was for selling liquor. She was bailed out by the town's leading banker, due to her good standing in the community. The brothel she owned was what caused her to get outed as trans, since an outbreak of a venereal disease was traced back to her brothel. "The local doctor examined all the women working there, then insisted on examining Anderson herself, then aged 59. He went public with what he discovered. This led to charges of perjury for lying on her marriage license, and fraud for receiving money as the wife of a soldier". Following this scandal she moved to Los Angeles with her husband, "where they led a quiet life until Lucy’s death in 1954".
She was also likely a HSTS due to being effeminate from a young age: "At a time when the word “transgender” didn’t exist, her parents sought advice from a local physician. Incredibly, the doctor recommended that they raise Lucy as a girl, and incredibly, they did". Almost like during the 1890s her parents would've preferred to raise her as a woman rather than a gay man, which is unfortunately something we still see today with many """""trans""""" children.
