On the bright side, Texas just became a right-to-carry and 2A sanctuary state. Don't despair. At the state level, we're winning.

Edit: Watching the Chipman hearing. The absolute balls on this shitheel trying to squirm his way out of his previous comments.

Speaking of Texas their legislature just passed a bill that would exempt Texas made suppressors from federal regulation as long as they're in the state of Texas.

While I like all these states passing pro gun laws, but I'll be actually impressed by attempts to nullify fed bullshit when a state actually has to back it up.

They actually have to go through Federal court before that can really take effect, otherwise they end up with another Kansas situation and Texans will just get party vanned. Federal law still supersedes State when it comes to this kind of stuff.

The Texas law won’t fly because of the supremacy clause. And because Texas cannot ensure that the suppressors will actually stay in the state, it starts falling into interstate commerce. Especially if people buy them in Texas and then cross state lines with them, while being Texas citizens. So that’s interstate commerce violations.

Kansas has a similar law which basically says you can make your own suppressor, provided the following rules:
  1. It does get transferred to anyone other than whoever manufactured it;
  2. It does not leave the state of Kansas
  3. It must be imprinted with "Made in Kansas"

So it won’t work. Once again, federal laws supersede state laws.

True, but a 2A Sanctuary means state and local law enforcement won't help the feds. It's telling them "if you wanna enforce federal law, you're on your own".

Marijuana and Illegal immigration is proof of how powerless is the current structure of the Federal Government without state and local help.

Unless either of the two parties is willing to repeal the Posse Commitatus act.

Well, after a long bit of silence from Karl the cuck he comes roaring back with the hot takes once again seemingly designed to reduce his potential income. I think it is safe to say that Karl has official achieved lolcow status, makes me wonder how much of those "photoshopped" screencaps were actually real or at least uncomfortably close to the mark, it would explain the denials in his efforts to keep the grift going.

Also have a picture of my wheeliegats

Nice K frame; model 10?

Yep, 10-9 I am currently using it as my carry piece in a DeSantis holster, Now only if I could find factory ammo for it, I am not in love with having to carry an old school gun with old school ammo, but until this ammo situation works itself out enough for 38 special self defense ammo to hit the shelves again I will just make do with the proven standby of 158 SWC loads. Good thing I reload.

And on top of that, with or without Waco Dave, the ATF is considered the redheaded stepchild of the alphabet boys, even by the other agencies.

I found out from the comments section there that there was a kind of cased ammunition autoloading rifle that did exist in that era but it was in Europe at the time. I guess it could be called the ancestor of rifles like the M1 Garand and M1903 Springfield.

Dreyse needle gun

Edit: I apparently learned that is was created also but came at the end I guess.

Spencer repeating rifle

This shit lol, looks like disobeying the president is an old historical tradition.

However, shortly after the famous Battle of Gettysburg, Spencer was able to gain an audience with President Abraham Lincoln, who invited him to a shooting match and demonstration of the weapon on the lawn of the White House. Lincoln was deeply impressed with the weapon, and ordered Gen. James Wolfe Ripley to adopt it for production. Ripley disobeyed the order and continued to use the old single-shooters.[1]

Did some 22LR tests because why not. Weight fluctuations aside Hornady Varmint Express 22LR does not shoot bad, seems to be holding its own against CCI Standards. Overall needs more testing, but so far it performs better than expected. Had a couple of fliers with both CCI and Hornady due to wind so not exactly great testing conditions.

I'm looking to pick up a Beretta 92. On one hand, the autist in me prefers the simple profile of the 92FS. On the other hand, a 92a1 or 92X would offer a handy tac-rail.

So, any advice? Be a sucker for the classics, or take a modernized version?

For me, the a1 offered dovetailed sights so I was able to install a fiber optic front; but mine was set up for IDPA. I’ve yet to use the rail - maybe if it was a nightstand gun.

I was looking at the 92S few days ago, the blueing on those old Berettas is gorgeous. New ones look good but the finish isn't as deep, looks more matte. Also yeah, the rail does kind of ruin the lines.

Wish I could find a 92FS for cheap instead of a 92S, that mag release button placement doesn't do it for me.

Here's a handy list of the differences between the models.
