There’s a few high profile troon kids whose families are evangelicals or religious nuts.

Kai Shapley whose mom used to hit him if he picked up a girl’s toy. His parents are evangelicals.

Gavin Grimm’s parents are super religious and not down with having a lesbian kid so they let their fat butch daughter troon out.

Hunter Schaeffer’s dad is a pastor in North Carolina but his family might now be on the more liberal end of Christian thought.

They’re out there, they’re just not as common as liberal parents.

Considering that a baseball cap is the ultimate signifier of manhood for both cartoons and ftms, it's a reasonable guess. But also if you sit through the video, the song specifically says the beaver family is full of trans people. I like how the only signifiers of breasts are the beaver masectomy scars and the dragtranny singer's bust. I don't quite know what it will imply to a child, but it seems something particularly fucked up in a subtle way.

You'd be surprised. In the tavistock case, allegedly, a lot of those particular families were immigrants (there's a weird Islamic idea about troons being better than gays, see Iran and Pakistan), but even in America it's an idea that pervades conservatives, rightoids, and christcucks. Caitlayanbrucieboy Jenner originally dismissed gay marriage after his transition (but walked it back, with "You can call it marriage if you want. I support gay marriage.") Pat Robertson has had a soft spot for troons for a while now. (Gays are still an abomination though.) And I've interacted with some homophobic HSTSs (to be fair, they have a common disdain for the antics of the gay men, which many gay men want to distance themselves from. Mix a little homegrown homophobia with that, and troonouts seem logical.) That's not even mentioning the smorgasbord of virulently homophobic FtMs listed in this thread. The weird thing about troonery, is how it's really about adherence to gender norms, which most plain gay people's existences are in opposition to. This can work nicely into someone's deep cope that they don't want a gay kid. You'll find a number of somewhat "traditionally" minded families in the insane parents of transgender kids thread, along with all the lefty wokie kooks.

Here's another reference to that terf twitter thread of quotes - this troon says being gay is a consolation prize for not being a woman. (Sorry for technically doubleposting the link.)

This is perverse. Anything (in their minds) even remotely related to trans issues simply must be about the troon holocaust. It's always a reflection on them. They can't fucking dissociate from legitimate concerns that normal people might have about puberty blockers, or troons in womens sports.
I hate it.

cis being used in sociology, or by trans people or allies, doesn't mean anything about whether anyone should adopt it.
it's interesting, no one can tell me why "non-trans(gender)" isn't a completely acceptable replacement for "cis(gender)".
it's because they aren't identical terms. cisgender means everyone "has a gender identity", and, it's completely harmonious.
i don't have a "gender identity", am estranged from the social ideas of womanhood, but i'm a woman because i'm female.

cis is an ingenious trick to make people feel like this lack of affiliation makes you trans/NB, and that you should transition.
it's an unwanted label that groups you into an "innate gender" without consent, ironic because they say they value agency.
non-trans also can't ever be used as a pejorative, or a way to frame non-trans people as oppressing trans people either.
it's also only for relevant cases. the reality is we are people without a rare condition (troonism), so, we are average people.

edit: also, yes, julia serrano is a creepy third wave troon who sparked a lot of issues with the movement, so i won't use it.

It's a case of trannies being upset because everyone refers to them as a transwomen (or men) and actual real women as just women. If they both have a preffix in their addled coomer minds it makes them equivalent 'types' of women not realising that the reason they're called transwomen to begin with is because they're not real women.

Of course not. But as an amusing anecdote, I was chatting with my white hippie TERFy friend about trannies and about our close mutual friend who is a pro-trans liberal white woman, and I jokingly pulled the "tranny onslaught is the fault of liberal white woman" line and she kinda sighed and said something like "yeah maybe... they sure aint helping the situation."

yeah, obviously i don't have a gun to my head. "language changes" (passive) when a society adopts a term of its own free will.
under social, sometimes legal, consequences to use the entire trans glossary, however, that is TRAs "changing language" (active).

It's part of the push towards troons being simply called women, because "trans women are women" and actual women being called "cis women" which calls them out as being privileged and every other awful thing troons hate them for.

There will be no more trans women. Just women, and cis women.
