Might be starting to backfire on corporations though considering the most flaming gay guy I know personally is starting to get weirded out by how aggressive Pride is this year.

I can't remember who said it but I think it's was Jordan Peterson. The gay rights movement has a problem with their inability to properly define their categories and boundaries. Since the ultimate dividing line of belief and identity is the individual, they would need an infinite amount of stripes in order to properly represent every category in their movement.

This was quite prophetic

I find that's a big problem with not just the gay rights movement but most other movements that the woke crowd get their claws on. What was once a wide all encompassing symbol that was also usually simplistic looking becomes a complete over complex nightmare of inclusion to give "proper representations for marginalized groups" when the previous symbol also did that anyway. They have this desire to make things more and more specifically designed or addressed while overcomplicating things.

I noticed it when looking up asexual and just realizing how complex it's gotten. Like Asexual broken into the more precise categories of Aro/Grey/Demi is fine I guess but then I'm seeing stuff like Recipro/Akoi/Aceflux/Aroflux where I'm left thinking isn't that just the former categories? Was even talking about it with someone more accepting of all the more woke stuff and even they were left confused about why those ones were even a thing or why they've decided to change the pride flag into a "graphic design is my passion" tier look.

Maybe I'm late here, but what confuses me about the brand-new fag flag is that the things taking over the flag aren't sexualities. I guess there's a case to be made for the black and brown ones, but I think "jungle fever" works just as well there as it ever did.

Maybe it's unintentional, maybe the designer knew what they were doing when they made this, but the whole trans and POC bullshit being wedged in from the side and looking forced as fuck really sums up the new design to me. These aren't sexualites, it's so these fuckers that were already represented could be double-plus-extra special. The more inclusive they try to be, the more segregated they become, especially when it's forced.

There is actually a reason why this is happening. There are no conservatively minded people in these groups. People with a liberal mindset are VERY good at getting a new organization and movement started. It has a lot to do with their high trait openness and willingness to explore boundaries. But once the organization is established it tends to become an all encompassing monster constantly expanding, becoming more and more complex before falling apart. Like say...the Chaz...or the LGBT movement.

Once something new is created by the liberally minded people they need conservatively minded people to come in an run the damn thing. Because conservatives tend to not be open to change and love putting boxes around things. If you ran a gay rights movements and someone showed up saying you also needed to fight for Asexual rights or whatever, a liberally minded person would be a for it but a conservative would say absolutely not. We are here for the rights of people having gay relationships. Why do we need to adopt Asexuals too? Another thing conservatives are much better at then liberals is saying No, because they are also more disagreeable. Thus they can preserve the focus of the mission and reducing complexity.

All our major institutions right now are suffering from the meta psychology of way too much liberal thinking and absolutely no conservative thinking. The end result will inevitably be collapse. You cannot have a functioning system that wants to be everything for everyone and thinks it can include everyone in everything.

To be honest I think the rainbow flag is visually appealing for what it is. Adding this weird triangle or black/brown stripes to a FUCKING RAINBOW...isn't.
