The shooting of a transient and threats of further violence shocked Venice this week as residents of the fractious beach community continued to square off over the emotional issue of the homeless.

Los Angeles police said that Thomas J. Wasserberg, 33, who lives at a beach encampment at the foot of Rose Avenue, was shot in the spleen on Monday afternoon while foraging for food in an alley at Sunset Court near the beach. Wasserberg is in fair condition at UCLA Medical Center.

Police have no leads and are investigating the shooting as an attempted murder, according to Capt. Vance Proctor.

He says he was shot by the CIA, but that was debunked by Jenny Kastner on Facebook. She was the one who found tom following the shooting and helped him get to the hospital. She saved his life. I don't have the cap on me, but if I find it I will re-post it.

He says that this letter he wrote to an alt rag in Venice Beach is why they shot him.

Holy crap you are one boring guy Tom. Jenny lived on the other side of the pedestrian walkway from the building I got shot behind. Because of security grates on the windows and almost no traffic in the front door, she thought it was a crack house when in fact it was a safe house for programmers like Peter Norton who were working on projects at the Rand Corporation to stay in. Nobody "found" me. At first, I wasn't sure that I'd been hit with anything worse than a BB until i started to get woozy from the loss of blood. I walked around the corner to the Kastner's house, Peter loaded me in his car and drove me to the Franciscan sister's community center on Rose Avenue, where an ambulance picked me up and took me to UCLA.

Also missing is a story in the LA Weekly from later in November. There are two Fox news stories archived none of you even know about in Austin and Memphis, I'd love to see somebody pull out and post. What will definitely be good for some laughs is if somebody finds the conversations we had about you curating my media, That will be a fun one to go along with gems like this one and the one where you admit that calling me a pedophile dogfucker isn't real, it's just easy to convince stupid people with.

He's lucky his life is almost over because this coping mechanism is also doomed to fail.
