Late reply, but I'm starting to see just how incompetent Dream actually is with anything do with "mods" and the like considering even though he's on Fabric he's still running OptiFine.

You know, instead of using the performance optimisation mod specifically built from the ground up for Fabric, he goes for the more convoluted patchwork not-even-remotely-officially-supported alternative of using a bridge that forces a Forge mod to work with Fabric. He still has no idea that the shit he's using already has a more suitable alternative than this.

Everyone already knows not to trust him any time he mentions anything about maths, and now, coupled with him also referring to basic resource pack edits, I know not to trust him on any of the shit he chats about mods and modding in general. Moron.

he says it's "stupid" for someone to hire a developer to create "hack mods", as if he himself didn't hire a guy to write a phoney scientific paper. Is that not a "dumb thing to have done"?
But the function of the mod is quite literally to cheat. It was designed to artificially increase the drop rates to make his manhunt videos go faster. How is that not a "hack mod" when that's literally what he had the stupid mod made for?

Holy shit he's using fucking optifabric? No wonder he acts retarded, he is retarded.

not sure if relevant at this point but i e-mailed the pastebin staff to ask about dream's paste, i'm not entirely sure if i can share their response because they put a warning about confidentiality in the email, but they got back to me and ultimately the paste has been restored. it's availabe again on the same link as before: https://pastebin.com/7nfjLwi3

hilarious how clayton's knee-jerk reaction was to delete his entire tweet, and most likely won't share the paste again lol

I'm not sure why he didn't choose to simply straight up ignore all the cheating drama because his audience of 10 million 15 year olds wouldn't give a shit either way. So he can just ignore it, not waste time defending himself, still make millions of dollars, and it literally wouldn't change anything.

Call me old but how the fuck do you speedrun tismcraft?
You have to go to the end dimension in the game to beat the dragon boss, but as quickly as possible.

Because he's retarded.

Maybe I'm not understanding something, but what Dream is saying in his Livestream doesn't appear to be making any sense.

In his pastebin Dream claims it was a plugin that increased the Peal drop rates, and in his livestream he attempts to defend himself by making the distinction between a plugin and a mod (starting from 20:22), what's odd to me about this, is that he seems to be insinuating that because it was a plugin and not a mod therefore it couldn't have influenced the drop rate of the pearls and endermen drops in his run. But this doesn't make sense, because Dream would still need to explain why the drop rates in his run were abnormal, and since he did blame mods, then irrespective of any plugins, there must've been a mod that did the same thing and therefore the criticism still stands. Dream should've realised there was a mod active that increased his drop rates.

Or maybe it's just a petty little distinction Dream made that's of no real substance and doesn't address the criticism at all, which also seems likely. Whether it was a plugin or a mod surely doesn't matter? But then why would Dream insist that the distinction is important? When fireb0rn states, quite correctly, that Dream used the mod (plugin according to Dream) in his challenge videos, he was using it for the same reason (increased drop rates) that someone who would want to cheat at speed-running would use it. Dream doesn't rebut this, he actually affirms it by admitting that he's right when he says "that's like saying water is water", although the inflection in his voice would make you think Dream actually responded to the point at hand, when he really said nothing whatsoever. It's confusing. Dream says:

Yes, obviously my videos, (sic) I beat the game in my videos, obviously anything I would do in my videos is with the intention of making the video either more entertaining or better, you know, better, and in that case for challenge videos it'd be making it so it's more likely that we beat the game *smug chuckle*, you might as well say I coded plugins in the past for videos like the black hold mod and made them in the way where it's possible. That way it's better to speed-run. Like yes that's nonsense, obviously, water is water I understand. That statement is like a non-statement.

Livestream, from: 22:14

I don't know what point Dream thought he was making, but clearly he failed to make it, and displayed his utter incompetence at comprehending what his critics are actually saying. Fireb0rn's point wasn't a "non-statement", he was saying that Dream used the plugin/mod in a way one would expect a cheater to use it in a Minecraft 1.16 speedrun, to increase drop rates, and beat the game faster. Dreams seemingly stupid response to this was just to essentially say "Yes, I had the pugin to win the game faster, haha you stated the obvious". Okay Clay, but what did you refute? Nothing by the looks of it.

Listening to this man actually make non-statements (ironic) over and over again is what's truly frustrating because of how confusing it is, so far, he seems to be saying things that don't have any relevance to the arguments against him whatsoever. If you picked this stream of his apart second by second, I can only imagine you'd have a formidable list of instances in which Dream shows he doesn't have the capability of actually comprehending what anyone says, unless it's positive.

This distinction is actually important. In Minecraft plugins are only active on a server level, which means he would need to be speedrunning on a multiplayer server, but since he's speedrunning in singleplayer it would have to be a mod that was active. It's much more understandable to accidentally have a plugin active on a server since it's not going to be in a mod folder like an actual mod is, which is why he's going with the excuse of it being a plugin now.

Again, this is someone who based on what other people have said in the thread doesn't know the difference between a mod and a resource pack and still uses janky bridge mods like OptiFabric. I'd wager he has no idea what a "mod" or a "plugin" even is really and I'd be fucking shocked if he knew what a tautology even was, let alone be able to tell if any given statement was one — which he's evidently failed at already with that "rebuttal".

Because his ego demands acceptance from all. When the adults and the experts were calling him out on cheating, his ego would not let it stand, because everyone MUST love him. Hence, he goes through all these ridiculously fucking stupid hoops to prove that he is right, even hiring a questionable "expert" to back him up in the stupidest possible.
Does he not have friends to stop him from doing retarded shit when he's melting down like this? That stream was fucking embarrassing.
He has yes men in both George and SapNap because they're piggy backing on his success. The other popular folks like Schlatt, Technoblade, and I guess Tommy are big players in his SMP Roleplay Theatre, but they're not reliant on Dream, and they have their own standalone success, so they're not necessarily sucking his dick 24/7 like his closest peers.
