Nah the basic white liberal college age bitch who come from WASP type backgrounds have been doing this for decades.

In the 40's and 50's it was date a Jew for a semester.

In the 60's, 70's, & 80's it was date a black guy for a semester and which had the added bonus of pissing off daddy.

In the 90's to now it's been date a black guy/brown guy for a semester or so and let a Dyke friend go down on you after few glasses. Hell if a Woman who is POC you can kill two birds with one stone.

Not really. I wish the Channel Awesome forums were still around post-#CTC because I distinctly remember 2009-era Lindsay expressly denied being a lesbian or being into girls at all. She then added that others frequently assumed she was into girls despite her adamant insistence to the contrary. She didn't always identify as bisexual, so if you ask me, her professed bisexuality is LGBT clout-chasing.

On what possible basis could Lindsay decree her sexuality for her? The gatekeeping I can think of, like, "You're not bi if you're in all het relationships" would mostly apply to Lindsay too, so I'm struggling to figure out what Mara could mean here.

Gatekeeping does imply it came from someone else who was bi.

You're not too far off going by Lindsay's account. She claims she didn't believe Mara because of her "dating style" whatever the fuck that means. Seems a sugarcoated way of saying "I didn't think she was bi because she acted too straight."
Personally I wouldn't be surprised if Lindsay hasn't had any experience with women, since her dating history seems to revolve around dating indian cis men. Since its pride month and I'm a card carrying faggot I propose just for Lindsay we add a C to LGBTQ for Currysexual

I'll go a step further and say I can see them trying to argue that any acronym outside of LGBTQ+ is homo/transphobic and use of acronyms is harmful to their movement or something.

"2S" has already been added for the alphabet people. So technically these days if you don't want to shorten it as "lgbtq+"(so the symbol is already there), the last I saw it as was...

Yep. Doug and company had the foresight to block the site from the Wayback Machine. Since #CTC, they deleted the forums entirely. Even the archives of the forums under channelawesome.com are sadly limited.
