Frank Oz actually came out in public to deconfirm it like a few years ago. Some new writer claimed to Buzzfeed or some shit they were confirmed canon gay 100% always intended to be and every fucking site ran with that as the truth until Oz intervened. If he was dead they'd have kept going with it and you'd see something more than just implied "every sesame street character has a gay lover" thing going on in that post there. I can't remember, did that shitshow happen during pride month? seems like a corporate pride month thing, but then again certain groups in the media just do that shit 24/7 now.
