Steven Universe fandom (Gemtlemen)

Do they?

I don't mean in the sense of there being a non-woman gem because we already got that confirmed, but I mean, do they ever take other forms in-universe that don't involve fusions?
yeah, there's a gag where amethyst shapeshifts into a male police officer, and Garnet can shapeshift her hands into weird tentacle appendages

Stop being creepy Dobson. They're ten years old. They're not even the ten year olds you see in anime who are obviously meant to be sexualized, but like little kid characters.

So basically the show is doing their take on the good ol' little-kid-gets-to-be-grownup-temporarily-story that Tom Hanks and Big made a modern classic, and Dobson twists it into being some sort of ode to lesbian sex, is that about right?

What has the reaction been from other SU-fans? Did at least a few of them react in the same way, any sane, non-loli-loving individual would react? You know with a "Fuck you Dobson! You're imagining things cause you're a creep fapping to a kids TV show!"

Yeah, but this kind of thing is pretty par for the course for the fandom. Since the character is a fusion of a boy and a girl, a lot of them saw it as some kind of step forward for Transvestite representation.

Steven Universe fans are fucking nuts.

I guess if you really wanna piss off SU fans show em this IMDb. The most popular show is about a bunch of heterosexual males punching people while SU barely makes the top 160 :^)

To be fair, these kind of lists of IMBD are more like popularity contests within fandoms and nerds. than measures of actual quality (not saying that the shows on top are bad, mind you). With that said, I think this list actually gives us some insight with SU and popularity. I actually don't think the show is that popular outside of Tumblr and 4Chan and I remember hearing that the main reason that they did the Uncle Grandpa crossover to begin with was to gain more viewers.

Uncle Grandpa crossover was to gain views because only man/womanchildren were watching it. Why do you think it made them so upset? It showed them that it wasn't "their" show.

The list certainly is biased. You notice how Avatar is near the top? And how there are almost no bad reviews? Clearly something's going on...

But the fact that Steven Universe isn't even at the top in an overly-biased list shows something.

I'm genuinely concerned that people keep rating my "don't enjoy children's cartoons publicly as an adult" post Disagree. Is it really so much to ask to not constantly sperg about you enjoying something designed for people full decades younger than you?

you seem to forget the people that are disagreeing with you are half lolcows themselves.

Or that you also seem fond enough of cartoons to pop up in fandom discussions a lot?

It's almost as if somehow they're unable to pick up on social cues...
