Steven Universe fandom (Gemtlemen)

What are you talking about?, CN clearly has its priorities straight:
"An original pencil drawing of Spike Spiegel (by the artist who actually designed him) covered up by an intern's sharpie drawing. (Located in the CN stairwell)"
What strikes me the most, is the people who actually defend such idiocy:

"The reason it was drawn on a wall was that it wasn't meant to last forever. Live goes on."

"If you find Toshihiro Kawamoto at a con you can probably get him to sketch Spike for you, you know. Losing a sketch really isn't a big deal."

"If they wanted to preserve the drawing they could have hung a backless frame over it or something."

So as you can see, there are idiots working in CN but the real problem is the other idiots (fanbase) enforcing them.

Let me clear this up again: My problem is not with the cartoons or even the shitty people behind it, my problem is
the fandom (the hardcore fandom, not the people who just like the cartoon and understand it's only a cartoon) that want
to push it over everyone else and praise it like it's the best thing to ever happen to humanity.
That Cowboy Bebop thing makes me violently angry.

Dobson is basically the archetypical SU fan. It will be funny in like a year and a half when the show isn't popular anymore to see what he moves on to, just like every other fan of it.
So... DOes Dobbo even know what he's saying? 'Cause I don't.

He's referring to the context of the episode: Steven and Connie do a little cute dance and fuse into a fusion of both of them, Stevonnie, a tall Indian woman. Throughout the episode, Stevonnie goes exploring around town and eventually they (because it's two people) end up at a rave and get hit on by a playa by the name of Kevin, while Stevonnie is visibly uncomfortable. The entire episode is seen by many as a metaphor for consent and relationships, some even go so far as to say fusions are like sex due to their sexual nature seen in previous episodes. The people who see it as sex are seen as the perverted minority, and Dobby is clearly an example of that.

Oh, that's what he's talking about. Perhaps then he should have made it clearer. Because I could not not the fuck he was talking about.

Then again, that's just a normal day for Dobson- Saying thing he probably shouldn't have. But now I'm getting off track. So, there a reason why Ms. Sugar has gone on record saying that the Gems, while feminine in appearance, aren't female? Or is it just because they're aliens?

I think her whole statement was "Gems are gems!" and I guess that means "Gems are gems but they take on the form of female women.", but they can take any other form since they're shapeshifters

Do they?

I don't mean in the sense of there being a non-woman gem because we already got that confirmed, but I mean, do they ever take other forms in-universe that don't involve fusions?
