This is exactly what I believe in all honesty, and it's probably why he had that meltdown on the twitch stream. From Dream's perspective I'd imagine he might be trying to bring in more normal viewers so he'll stay afloat when the stans grow up, by admitting he cheated, but at the same time his ego couldn't take admitting cheating so he had to chimpout and claim he cheated unintentionally, but then kept flipflopping on whether he cheated or not on stuff like his stream and his twitter. What I bet is this more reasonable apology is a more calculated and planned attempt to endear himself to the normal viewers after his last attempt failed catastrophically, based on stuff he's been reading from places online that responded to it.
