Also, both songs are equally as terrible in my opinion. I don't want to sperg over it too much but, both Mask and Roadtrip just have such cringey lyrics. The introduction that leads into the first verse for both songs feels so out of place- they would've been more suitable for a hype song rather than a "muh depression" type of song. The shoutout to how the fandom views his smiley face in all their fanarts as a "mask"- cringe. The way Dream sings in both songs feels like a page out of "how to sing like a basic popular pop artist: half-hearted monotone throat singing with absolutely no dynamics at all."
Not sure about the chord/rhythm progressions, but it seems really samey. It's catchy, sure, but in the way braindead teenage fangirls would love, which is pretty on par to Dream's audience- if it ain't broke, you know? But it feels like Dream hopped onto the singing trend and followed Wilbur Soot and Corpse Husband but without the passion about this craft at all.
