Jaron Seth Bloshinsky / Jazz Jennings / I Am Jazz - Puberty Blockers: Not Even Once

I predict the storyline will be building up to Harvard and then Jazz "realizing" he doesn't want to go to college. Then it will be about "being OK with a different life path." It will end as if the world is open for him, but in reality, he'll just stay at home.

Who, out of Jazz’s crazy momager, his PR team, social media team, TLC’s production team, ever thought the Variety piece was a good idea? Who ever had this “brainwave” should be fired immediately. And slapped upside the head on the way out.
Jazz has to succeed. The public must see them doing well and living their best life. Jazz is the poster child and has been held up as the face of this movement. If Jazz is seen by the public as miserable, detransitions, or just quietly lives their life, their cause will look like a failure. Jazz must perform, be happy, and stay in the public eye. Once the bargain was made, Jazz and their entourage has to hold up their end. Fame and fortune has it's price. The devil always demands his due.

Jazz's story ends with him and his mom in a weird Grey Gardens codependent hoarder mansion, constantly reminiscing on the days when they used to be famous. He had the chance to slip Jeanette's control and didn't take it... it's dead cats all the way now.

Holy shit, idk if it's just blurry from movement/being out of focus or because it's being stretched but it doesn't look like much more than a bruise in the video.

Ironic that it's a slim, graceful mermaid.
That tattoo always looked like a smudge and I found it was in a weird place.
My memory is quite good and twice I had to search again what the tattoo was supposed to represent because I couldn't make it out. I.e.: it's a rather forgettable thing.

nikki tutorials is full of shit. He is 6'2". That's about the 96th percentile for height for males. 6'6" is past the 99th percentile, into the range where their height is likely due to (or causing) a health problem, the human heart can only healthily supply so much mass before encountering problems.

They were hoping that puberty blockers and estrogen would reduce height, but didn't have good data. The only way to guarantee shorter stature is to malnourish a child during growth spurts. Or, you know, do some real gruesome bone breaking surgery.

Part of the argument for using puberty blockers on kids with very early puberty is that it is supposed to increase their height, and without them precocious puberty tends to cause very short stature. No one knows wtf they are doing with these drugs.
NikkieTutorials stated in her video "I'm Coming Out." (13 January 2020) that in addition to the 'standard' hormone therapy for transgender children, "growth stoppers" (whatever that is, it was never further explained) were given. Without them, Nikkie would have been taller. The linked video is time-stamped, but since this is Jazz Jenning's thread, I didn't archive it.

Holy shit, it's mistifying that all the adults in his life saw that and not a single one thought, "Hmm maybe I should at least ask Jazz if she's ever questioned any of this considering she was told her entire life by all of us that she's a trans girl and there's no doubt about it and that it HAS to be that way?"
Maybe someone did ask. They may have asked a hundred times, it wouldn't matter. That kid wasn't free to answer the question truthfully. Jeannette had a fantasy of being the perfect activist-mom and getting on television for having such a special amazing transgender child, while also acting as her child's agent. If Jazz fucked that up for Jeannette he genuinely may not have been loved by his mom anymore. That is unbearable for a child, they will do or say anything to prevent it. I am sure she made it pretty clear that she would make life unbearable for everyone in the house if she doesn't get her way. When jazz had a nervous breakdown in the last season, everyone looked to jeannette before saying or doing anything for jazz, and jeannette didn't give much of a shit really, so everyone followed her lead. Situations like that make it very clear what is happening.

I just can’t get my head around it. Why have they not even tried to slim him down or improve his figure with editing? Or maybe they have and this is the best result they could come up with, Jesus.
The photographer did a pretty good job - the photos are either medium close up shots (which stop at mid chest), or angles where Jazz's body is partially obscured. You can see Jazz is a bit hefty but not the true extent.

It's the video that demonstrates the obesity - it's mostly shot close up or medium close up, but the full body "action" shots they included for visual interest can't be avoided. You can get some pretty impressive results with "shapewear" (read: corseting the fuck out of an obese person) and the right styling on top would have gone a long way... but Variety couldn't do that.

The entire purpose of the Jazz article was about Jazz's supposed self acceptance and that trans people are beautiful, no matter what they look like. They would probably be terrified that approaching Jazz and saying "You're a landwhale. If we squeeze you into a tightlaced corset and sports bra like an abused Victorian debutante and then dress you in some structured floor length dresses with balloon sleeves, we can create the illusion that look half decent" would lead to Jazz idk claiming they were imposing cisnormative beauty standards and sexualising trans bodies and then they'd be cancelled. (Jazz wouldn't actually say or think anything that complex but they don't know that). Also Jazz would probably refuse to do that regardless, both because it'd be uncomfortable and because Jazz always disguises and shrouds his body where possible.

So it's better for them to treat the Jazz interview as showcase of Jazz living his truth than trying to make him look as good as possible.

Is there anything to suggest that Jazz has had doubts about being trans? Or is that kinda out of the question since they were groomed to believe that they were trans pretty much since they were old enough to form memories? I do wonder if the botched SRS maybe started giving Jazz doubts and if the distress of that is contributing to the ongoing mental health crisis.
His penis ended up underdeveloped because mum had him on puberty blockers from a young age. That's what happens when you give children stuff like Lupron. He had to have two corrective surgeries (so thats three total)
This is from Wikipedia, on puberty blockers:

He never stood a chance. Have you seen that picture of him in a swimsuit with the scars? Anyway. I don't know if he had any doubts. He was just a child, and once they put him on puberty blockers I think his fate was sealed. I want more people to know about puberty blockers.
That shit is poison!

It was probably Lupron, they think it's magic and I'm not aware of any other drug that's supposed to inhibit growth. Except it probably doesn't, and they actually used to give it to kids to try to make them taller.

These are all excellent points. Also, maybe Jazz isn’t able to wear shape wear or anything more constricting due to exploding stinkditch pain.

so yeah, they have to present it as it is, and pretend it’s all lovely, and the public has to pretend it sees nothing wrong on pain of getting cancelled. That’s what the whole troon propaganda behemoth boils down to, basically.

also, some people upthread were talking about Jazz looking constantly opioid stoned in recent pics, and I couldn’t see it before, but with these recent pics I definitely can.

On the potential binge eating disorder:

If Jazz has a type-A personality, she's very vulnerable to venturing into the other side of the eating disorder spectrum. She has the other variables that make someone more vulnerable to anorexia/bulimia. Stressful childhood, likely a sense of insecurity (she covers her body,) perhaps a less than stable family life, academic precociousness, and depression. She likely feels a lack of control right now, which can be the ultimate trigger for many people. Plus, she's a public person, and a bunch of people are talking about her body in places where she can see them. Yeah, she's gained in her late teens, but that's just giving her more ammunition to restrict her intake.

Most people get their asses kicked during their first semester of university. She'll probably either gain more weight or develop anorexia or bulimia. Elite universities are infested by eating disorders because they're the perfect pressure cookers to trigger relapses/ED developments. The type of people who get admitted to highly selective schools tends to be the types of people drawn to EDs.

I feel bad for Jazz. It must've been hard to have gone through something as personal, painful, and emotional as transitioning in front of millions of people. I hope her siblings give her real love and support because I think the mom has something going on.

It doesn't inhibit growth, it inhibits sexual maturation. Estrogen gradually closes growth plates. So yes, Lupron would block the effects of estrogen and stop growth plates from closing, resulting in a taller female than otherwise. Jazz started hrt around 11 or 12, I think.

The use of Lupron for "trans kids" has always stumped me at this point because here's this drug people use to get taller, and you think it'll ensure you grow up to be a uwu small bean adult?

Today's Sander video was him shilling Natty Lite, by the way. I ain't posting that.

I can't imagine that weight gain being the result of just binge-eating. Many people tanked up on junk food during covid and they gained 10 or 20 pounds, but they didn't balloon like that. This has to be medication or some hormonal problem. Maybe the hormones Jazz is taking are reacting with something?

Hard disagree. Even if the pills made him feel less satiated or slowed his metabolism or made him less active, he'd still have to consume calories to gain weight. What you're seeing is not the result of someone saying "fuck it" and eating a donut or extra helping every other day for a few months. What you're seeing is someone who treats every meal like it's Thanksgiving, who hides food, who probably obsesses over their next meal, and who goes on fast food runs then consumes 3,000 calories in their car (as shown on the last season). Add a sedentary lifestyle where dude is a eunuch who probably doesn't even walk a quarter mile a day and mindlessly grazes and never, ever lets himself feel hunger, and presto. That's how people get fat. Jazz got fat.

Disagree with your disagree. Castrated dogs, cats, and steers get fat. Eunuchs were known for being fat. And it's not just big, calories consumed don't turn into muscle but flab.

Here's a freaky factoid from the first article on Google: "In general, neutered cats require only 75-80% of the food needed by intact cats to maintain optimal body weight."

One could posit that something in Jazz's male brain is telling him that he needs the (checks Google) 2800 calories per day that the average 20-year-old man should eat, but that's at least a third again more than he should be eating. However, eating 700+ fewer calories a day would put him in constant hunger mode. That's a whole damn meal less per day.

Powerlevel but I went vegan for a month after being vegetarian for years and for the whole month I couldn't stop thinking about food, dreaming about food, obsessing about food. And it wasn't any food, it was fatty, greasy food of the kind I don't normally even like. I hadn't eaten bacon in years and it wasn't something I missed at all, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm not a big ice cream fan but I felt like sitting down with a spoon and a pint of ice cream would be the best time. It was affecting my ability to concentrate on anything else. It was what I imagine a pregnancy craving must be like where my body was demanding these particular calorie-dense foods. So of course after a month of being vegan I decided that torturing myself like this was pointless and probably bad for me and I went back to a modest amount of dairy and eggs and the food obsession stopped.

Jazz has serious issues with food, but it's not clear to me how much of it if any is a problem with willpower or character and how much is a problem with biology.

Calories are required in order to gain weight. Castrated or not, pumped full of hormones or not, an excess of calories are required in order to get this fat. It is not complicated, although fad diets try to convince otherwise.
