General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I think that’s just objectively not true. The Western anime fanbase is basically completely insulated from Japanese opinions (because very few people actually read or understand Japanese, making it impossible to engage with Japanese social media) and there’s lots of shows that are SUPER popular in the West that were just never that big in Japan, and also vice versa. Maybe a bit less common with modern stuff thanks to simulcasts. The only opinions that MATTER in the Western anime fandom are those of other Westerners, just by virtue of the fact that 99% of everyone you’re interacting with as a Western anime fan is going to be a Westerner.
I was not talking about getting opinions of Japanese people about anime, we get that just by the virtue of which manga/LN gets animated (discounting Netflix funded shit), but not listening to westerners for something I consume because its not made by the west.

IT BEGINS!!!

There was already a person dancing when she logged in, the server was hidden. And she is already relying on her fans to save her from the mobs.
This is maybe my first time watching her, but she swears a lot more then I thought.

>pikame collab
>JP collab

lets
Fucking
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Btw, has Pikamee collabed with Hololive before? I cant remember, but my memory is rather shit.
Not that i remember, she collabed with Winning Son tho

Edit: 2 days break, so she is making something but i have not see anything announced yet, FGO is only going to have Lostbelt 6 (no summer this year apparently) and she already did her stuff on Azur Lane, i have not heard anything on the other games

Edit 2: why Oga is so good at Megaman, how this black unicorn does it

Hoshikawa celebrates 500k milestone with an english cover of King. She must have pulled excalibur from the stone earlier today because that's a performance worthy for the title queen of England.
I'm really happy more and more people didn't write her off as that annoying flame girl and appreciates her cheerful and hardworking side.

Maybe you personally, but the fact that there’s a Western anime community that likes to get together and discuss the shit they like (or dislike), plus the fact that there’s tons of popular Youtubers whose channels were founded on talking about their opinion on manga and anime, disproves the idea that this is a widely held view.

Yeah he would. I mean i could do a dedicated Discord one but idk if it really serves the purpose.
go with the YT channel plan, maybe he would be retarded enough to DMCA you with his real info, he seems like the kind who would do it for clout.

on an unrelated note.
The thumbnail from the latest Choco stream seemed familiar, so I decided to check my folders and yeah, I was right, its drawn by Fu_MiHi_Ko (booru gallery, NSFW)

Doubt that. He already faked a lawyer to intimidate a dude and get his copyright strikes deleted. (Which ofc didnt worked lol)

IIRC, she's done a few Among Us group collabs with some Holos. Lemme pull some shit up.

Among Us group collab with Suisei and Ayame:

Among Us group collab with Roboco:

Among Us group collab with Suisei and Mel:
She also play Project Winter with Suisei once (or twice. Not sure) where she make an obvious mistake of trying to kill Suisei and Mea with a gun.

Have you considered making a YouTube channel that's a twist on his HoloLive Dox channels, but it's only Poka-related stuff.

I fail to see how any of these three points are related. Unless they said something like "The entire community thinks this", the fact that they gave their opinion on reaction channels that use the fact they are japanese as a selling point has nothing to do with the fact that they aren't qualified to be mouthpieces of the anime community.

And these two points combined have literally 0 to do with the fact they accept sponsorships from crunchy or funimation.

>They gave a personal opinion, they admited they are not qualified to be mouthpieces of the community, and they do sponsored content for anime companies. Thus, they are hypocrites.

Did I miss something on the way?
Of course they're related.

Dedicating time in your podcast to slating the means by which Japanese YouTubers attempt to grow or expand their channel (I'm aware reaction channels are bottom of the barrel but it is what it is) is hypocritical when they essentially did the same to get to where they are now - being anime fans reacting to or reviewing anime content.

Ironically, these complaints are isolated and uploaded to their own clip channels in a way that makes them look like Gaijin reacting to Japanese culture. These clips have sparked controversy amongst the Japanese public and YT community (including non-reaction channels) a small handful of times, and our good friend the YouTube algorithm was forcing these TT clips onto the Recommended feed for a good while, forcing people to at least see the titles of their obnoxious shit takes.

This time period last year is where I believe weebs and the JP side started becoming averse to them way before they started talking about V-Tubers and allegedly dissing Hololive.

I'll admit talking about the sponsorships was me sperging and going off track, but I don't think it's wrong to think that it's hypocritical of them to brandish a subsection of the YouTube community as 'unqualified to make their content' when that's basically the MO of every Youtuber, and a bunch of guys sat at a table who've made a career of talking about how much they want to fuck 2D anime girls should know that.

Their overly-opinionated, often petty rants about Japan has caused controversy in the past, and their annoying, clickbaity clips bothered a lot of western tards into just disliking seeing them. So naturally, Calli collaborating with them is going to bring a little more heat.

N-N-Nenechi??

No way she knows what it means but still funny. Wonder if this title will make it all the way to live.

A very interesting clip.
I mean i did not heard about them until Fubuki put the foot and dragged Oga to a collab, there were people that had entered the hole when the Coof started and did not hear about them like halfway through the end of the year, the good thing is because Cover is not expecting to much for them (fuck them in the ass) they gained the GPB privilege a thing that EN and JP would love to have but cant because Cashcows must be protected

People still follow the meme about Yagoo's dream in Hololive but really, Holostar are his favorites sons, they were handpicked by him and he is working hard to put them in the spotlight and if the Emperor will it i expect if someday Holostar EN becomes a thing they get boosted in the process
