Reminds me of that old meme image of Principal Skinner asking himself if he’s at fault, then concluding that the kids are to blame.In both cases, it's because there's a huge fear about accepting yourself in reality and working on being a better person for yourself. It's a bit like a cognitive dissonance because it's easier to hide behind toxic positivity and group responsibility then it is to see what you've destroyed inside yourself and neglected mentally.
