General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I know this is business, but the theory still didn't make any sense. Again, the chinese don't forget and don't forgive. The theory can't hold up because the next step woul be trying to appease to the chinks again, and people on both sides won't accept that so easily
Oh you sweet summer child. I may have been drinking for the last four hours, but I'm still not going to get political because I can't be bothered.

Theories and feels aside, how would you react if Coco came back on July 2 as Coco2 or something and all of this turned out to be a shit test?
Roberu's bait-and-switch times ∞

She may have also decided that she could remain stable now with her other account while hoping to discourage further attacks on other talents by graduating herself. Alongside the fact that she would have unchecked creative Liberties on her independent account.

Just my overly optimistic pipedream.

That is such a retarded idea to even think about, but if it did happen, it would create a shitstorm beyond what the chinks could ever come up with, and ruin Coco's and Cover's reputation forever.

I think the only way that it wouldn't cause controversy is if she stated she changed her mind after the outpour of love.
All in all though that is a pipe dream

Kson loves streaming. She might not bother with an avatar, and maybe throw all her effort into her IRL channel, which is pretty successful anyway. Honestly this may benefit her financially, as she no longer has to give Cover a cut. Gonna suck to not have her interact with with any of the Hololive girls anymore on stream, but like I said I think she'll do just fine.

Cover is going to be the loser here, not Coco.

Edit: thinking about this rationally as I typed this post pulled me out of my funk. Kson is potentially leaving a toxic workplace and banking on her talents to succeed on her own.

So, Mel was not intended to be Holo Gen 1, she was a replacement for Hitomi Chris. She got recruited by a friend of hers' who worked at Cover and thus became her manager. Said dude starts creeping on her by forcing her into a lot of meetings and even dinner meetings and so she hiatus'd Hololive work. She couldn't prove to Cover it was him, until the dumbass left his email attached to a Twitter spam account that was harassing her. Now here is Japan, the police are cowards because they fear being prosecuted and so do companies, your best bet is to then become the claimant and so she did. He got fired and she returned.
Thanks for the run down, but all of that only further solidifies my suspicion Coco got the casting couch.

Siding with rrat that this was her decision, nothing has come out to suggest another bug infestation or other undue West Taiwanese influence. Most logical explanation (at least for me) is that she wanted to do something which Cover couldn't (or refuses to) sign off on. Could be anything from moving back to the US as suggested, fallout from some Hololive proposal she had, or even a desire to shift job gears, but given she was Cover's cash cow I seriously doubt Cover would just let her go after all the effort spent on her last year.

Incredibly disappointing either way, but probably (and thankfully) not an ominous sign of something more serious. Unless some tangible leak pops up in the near future.

Like I said if we some mass exodus from Cover that will be proof that management threw her under the bus and others saw the incoming end. Only time will tell.

People always saying that but i doubt she is leaving any time soon.
Mori is having that "this all could end anytime" in gear. With what she say about her other side and the Red's lyric dive. She probably not leaving soon, but as a fan you have that blade at your neck all the time. Fitting. Remember your Mori and all that.

I don't have any rrat and I'm firmly believe her decision is on her own with how all the girls tweet that they try hard to stop her from leaving. My guess is that with the rules, the waiting for permission, the bugmen, and the restrictive on creativity just doesn't make it fun for her anymore. I just hope she get to collab with Nozomu someday.

True, but you know, I just realized that this could all be a power play on her part, too. Once it nears the end of the month she could say "everyone's feelings reached me" or whatever and decide not to "graduate", and in the interum she'd have proven how valuable she is and how much sway she holds. It could be her way of making sure executives think twice in her favor, especially if China's trying to snake its way back into Cover's synapses somehow.

I'm still thinking it's a casting couching, but it could be that as well. We won't know what it really is until the end of the month.

You're more rainbows than a fag. I'm not even making fun of you, I appreciate it. That said, the casting couch idea is stupid.

lol Slap me with skittles and point me towards a leprechaun but I'm just thinking of reasons why someone would suddenly Old Yeller their career like this.

Alright I'll shelve it for now.

What is the chance Kson creating her own VTuber group?
I'm not big on Nippon culture but I'm pretty sure that'd be seen as bad business, wouldn't it? Leaving a big group you're partially the face of to start a rival group.

I'm coping.

This isn't actually a stupid question. If Cover did throw her under the bus I'd imagine she has enough friends and supporters that she could siphon off a lot of top talents , who fear the same.

I highly doubt it however.
I feel like if that was a genuine concern, which it definitely would be if she went through with it, the suits would be even more against doing anything that might push her further away than they're already known incompetence.

At this point I'm past being worried that something super awful happened between her and cover, and am now overtly curious as to what the straw was that broke the camel's back.

Edit: The announcement video is already her fourth most viewed video at almost 1 million....
