For everyone worried about her future, her Kson account has been gaining a bare minimum of 1,000 subscribers every ten minutes for the past hour or so, and her Twitter has gained about 3,000 since I last checked it less than twenty minutes ago.

The girl is going to be absolutely, 100% fine. She'll be able to live off the pity superchat money alone for a year.

Unless she's been totally reckless with the money she's made over the past year (the mattress comes to mind) she could just quit work completely and live off her savings for several years, especially if she's content living in poverty conditions like she claimed she is. She's made at least a half a million dollars in the past year.

Rrat time, VOMS is recruiting and Coco graduates, especially when VOMS would benefit greatly from another multilingual talent and Coco would benefit from a better pay scheme and more freedom.
Alternatively Coco is doing this in the belief that if she graduates enough negative energy towards West Taiwan can be harvested and used to manifest the Three Gorges Dam bursting and drowning millions upon millions of bugs.

Even better: she became friends with Mel off stream and is joining Vshojo instead.

As far as the split goes, judging by how many people tried to get her to stay and the fact that Cover, for all their incompetence, didn't fire her after the Taiwan shit started and kept her for 9 months, I think they were on board with keeping her and this was her own decision to leave. As to why, it could be that she was upset with how things were being handled and the stress was getting to her, which makes the most sense. She's been on a tight leash for a while and had to get rid of things like Asacoco altogether.

It could also be because she had never planned this from the start and is now joining support staff. I remember she was asked to audition after applying as a manager, so maybe she is staying with Cover, just not as talent, or she actually found a better job (better as in more personally fulfilling) as something like what she originally intended to do.

Thing is, she isn't kicking Kanata out and she isn't moving, so we may hear stories about how Coco is doing from her; pretty sure Nene has talked once in a while about her interactions with Aloe off stream. She'll still be a part of hololive in some way.

I haven't been here in a while and it's hundreds of pages ago but I happily joined in shitting on Vshojo when they first were announced. I think Mouse is the only one there with actual broadcasting talent but her models keep getting overdesigned and less expressive.

Coco joining Vshojo would be hilarious in a tragic way.

archive it out of principle, but I don't think there's a need to host it here. it's a big enough deal that you'll probably find it on the internet for years to come (and when the time comes that dries up who knows if the farms even still exist then)

Over the past few months, her roommate has gotten more and more active on YouTube. She got personal channel memberships the 23rd of February, 106 days ago.
Even on twitter she has gotten more active, and has even reached out to YouTube to help curb the antispam. Watching the archive of her birthday stream from yesterday, it seems the chinese spam is mostly gone from her Kson channel.

I think her decision to leave Cover is to go independent as Kson. She has been extremely tied down by red tape as Coco. Not being allowed to collab with HoloEN, AsaCoco being a nono to name two examples. Not to mention being frozen out, Cover didn't host a "grats on 1 mill Coco" thing on their website and she hasn't appeared in a HoloGra forever.
I doubt she'll want to join Vshoujo or Nijisanji or VOMS or pornhub or whatever else vtuber agencies exist.

Also, if you think she retired to take care of a dement grandparent, I'm sorry but that's more far-fetched than the casting couch theory. She could easily have taken a few weeks break while she setup back in America or just use her mountain of dollars to hire a nurse for said grandparent to continue on like she has*. What we've been told is that she decided to retire of her own volition and that several of the girls tried to talk her out of it. It seems obvious then that the issue was personal disagreement about management or something else.

*Not to mention Kanata confirmed Coco will still live with her. Like.. come on.

The more I read other people's thoughts the more I'm starting to believe that this is a Tex Avery situation.
Tex much like Coco, was essentially the zaniest of his peers at the Warner Brothers Studio back in the 1930s and really shook the boat and innovated in ways that the medium had never seen before.
However the higher-ups kept trying to limit his creativity and attempted to stop him from doing anything that was seen as controversial or obscene which after many arguments led to him leaving the studio all together.

This reminds me that around the time of the 6 month anniversary of HoloEN a bunch of Holos started to be extremely depressed on stream talking about what would/could happen if Hololive ends or they graduate.
I am pretty sure that's when it became public knowledge in the company that Coco planned to graduate.

I don't have any rrat and I'm firmly believe her decision is on her own with how all the girls tweet that they try hard to stop her from leaving. My guess is that with the rules, the waiting for permission, the bugmen, and the restrictive on creativity just doesn't make it fun for her anymore. I just hope she get to collab with Nozomu someday.

Oh absolutely it could end any day and this day really reminded me of that.
I guess one of the positives of being a doxxbeat is i know where to go when Mori leaves.
