I have a few personal conspiratard/alt health cows. Today I present to you: the bleach drinkers and the grift that keeps on giving.
Chlorine Dioxide is classified as a chemical used in industrial settings to disinfect surfaces. But what if I told you that it can also disinfect your body? Dissolve cancer? Cure pretty much anything? This miracle cure is known as CDS (Chlorine Dioxide Solution), MMS (Miracle Mineral Supplement) or just "The Miracle Cure", "The Universal Antidote" among others.
It got really big in Latin America when Covid started to hit really badly. After the main grifters and anything related to this substance were uber banned in the US and Europe for no reason in particular two big players in this scene moved their business and advertising to Latin America and Africa: Jim Humble (of religious cult Genesis II infamy) and Andreas Kalcker (German serial scammer, NGM disciple, bought his degree from a diploma mill). A lot could be written about those two alone, it's a pretty interesting rabbithole if you're into eccentric people who form weird cults (Jim Humble) or the mind and machinations of an international alt health grifter (Kalcker).
Originally, it was often touted as a cure for malaria, autism in children and chronic diseases. When Covid, a brand new disease came into the picture, it was also instantly determined as a cure. Here, a new entity appears: COMUSAV.
COMUSAV is responsible for most of the distribution and promotion of CDS as a cure in Latin America. Social media tends to ban them, so they have a Telegram echo chamber.
Promotion of an interview with Kalcker from the main COMUSAV channel in Spanish. The message refers to him as "Our dear Andreas Kalcker". Yes, the dude is on the way of becoming something of a cult leader himself.
Manuel Aparicio is a Mexican doctor and current director of COMUSAV Mexico who has had more success selling bleach than in his medical practice. He went full scammer after the Covid wing of his small clinic got shut down by authorities when personnel leaked information about the treatment of his patients (he gave them CDS). Here he is announcing his presence at the meeting of the minds that was Red Pill Expo.
People are still giving it to their autistic children.
A lot of dumb shit gets shared. They got bamboozled with the videos of people supposedly becoming magnetic after being vaccinated. Strangely enough, other alt health buddies who do magnetic medicine think this is actually a good thing. Even if the original virus is natural, it doesn't change that it's likely that the vaccine will either have unexpected side effects or be intentionally harmful to people who take it in the long term. Besides, there's nothing to say that it isn't a failed bioweapon that accidentally got out.
