“An1337” has donated $100.
Three things to point out:
1. “I really wasn’t expecting a tip like this, I thought this was gonna be a slow stream” More credence to the fact that Phil pre-plans (or is at least told about) large donations coming in for the stream, so @Surly Muppet was right on the money that OIC wasn’t planning on tipping tonight (and that he normally signals huge tips)
2. Someone told Phil that An1337 is the name of a troll. Phil reassured him that “it could just be someone using his name, trying to stick it to him”. Notice how he carefully avoids the use of the word “impersonate” here, which is what he normally uses to incriminate people and accusing them of being criminals.
3. Someone pointed out that An1337 has twice the viewers Phil does. Phil laughed this off by saying “What is that, 100 viewers! I wouldn’t know, I don’t pay attention to viewership. I know there wouldn’t be a lot of people tuning in to watch THIS stream!”. Protecting his ego by sidestepping and then blaming the game for his bad attendance. He then proceeded to act like a clown, “Who is An1337? I’ve never heard of this guy in my life!” *High-pitched TUHUHUHU*
Fun stuff

Yeah, they can gay ops it all they want, but Phil is too much of a retard to maintain any facade.
He gets a large tip from An1337 last night and doesn't even verify it. Then tonight, it's the same name and he decides to verify it.

Well that can only mean one of two things. Someone schedules their tips in advance so Phil knows they are coming and blindly trusts them.
Or whoever AndreTheDJ is told Phil they were going to tip in their first tip last night, so Phil didn't question when the later tip came in.
Either way, having to verify it tonight means he knew he was getting money last night, be it before the stream or early in the stream.

It doesn't even matter if it's OiC or not. That's a scam.

EDIT: Case and point, Phil is getting called out on this and playing dumb. He is saying he didn't realize An1337 was a troll name. He also plays dumb about Agent Proper being a troll when someone pointed out he also took a tip from that name last night.
That's not their point, though. The point is that he didn't verify it last night, but did tonight.
So that's the ticket right there. Phil is doing his usual move when cornered and playing semantics, swerving the issue that exposes him and focusing on the pointless details.
It's not about the troll names. It's about the obvious scam that you just exposed, buddy.

big ups @Agent Proper you're now on DSP's radar
He already was, lol
He tried to deny knowing who either of these streamers are, his voice got all high-pitched like that time trolls called him “DownFromTheRafters”.
And there’s no way he or his minions haven’t seen Proper post in this thread

Edit: btw, this is the real Jake Lasso.

A $3 tipper just tipped to apologize and say they won't tip under troll names anymore. They say they'll use different names instead.

Why not just tell them to use a fixed alias so that it's always clear when they're tipping?
Because we want to hide who is tipping? ... why? Nobody can even DM them anymore.
From my understanding, Proper has been in 🚜
I believe OiC has spoken to @Agent Proper. There's no world where I'll believe Phil didn't know Proper was a detractor.

The simpler explanation is that DSP recognized the name/email (from PayPal) of the An1337 last night but not the one from tonight.

While also true... did he even check it? It looked like he just saw the $50 and slapped it up last night.
That's an area where I'm unfamiliar. What does Phil likely see when a tip pops up for him? Is it just the name and the value, or can he see the email at a glance?

After all that speech at the beginning, Phil has pussied out.
Divinity is going on hiatus. He may come back to it in months, maybe in a year. He's not going to 'limit himself' and say that he will or won't play it. So it's on hiatus for now, and if the summer or early fall slows down, he may commit to playing it 2-3 times per week. But he can't play it until he can commit to it.

He also said that he had fun near the end of tonight's stream. Mysteriously, it was after the $100 came in. I don't know if he realizes how much his mentality is tied to money, which is maybe more concerning than how much his mentality is tied to money...

So the semantic defense will be that he didn't quit the game, he put it on indefinite hiatus.

EDIT: Phil is now specifically saying that he is fine with tipping under random aliases. He just doesn't want to cause problems. So no detractor names, and no names of regulars in chat.
