Gender non conforming women have always existed (I could give you some academic lesbian history books if you care, but you probably don’t), but never have there been so many straight teenage girls rejecting the female standard. Right? Am I missing something? I guess at the point in medieval England when 25% of the population entered religious life, that was a lot of nuns, but I do think it is legitimately abnormal for so many straight teenage girls to want to be unattractive to boys by rejecting femininity.

The thing is they have been told since childhood by things like public school social studies classes, tumblr, the internet in general, that being a woman is horrible. That no matter how hard they try, the patriarchy will always win out, that they will have to live in fear of men their whole lives.
They are also told, through the internet (especially hobby and fandom-based communities that fetishize gay shit) that two boys in love is the purest and most beautiful thing in the world, and it’s so cute when two hot men assfuck eachother.
(side note, in this way many many ftms are just as much cracked out, pornsick retards as your standard AGP, it’s just hidden under text and in secret group chats and communities. Match this up with puberty-induced dysmorphic feelings, a sense of rebellion and “I want to be special and independent”, and every lie ever fed to them by the troon movement, and you have a very nice recipe for insecure and/or autistic girls, especially tomboyish ones, to decide life would be so much better for them if they turned into boys. But they don’t understand that cutting off their tits and injecting themselves with hormones aren’t going to turn them into cute, sexy anime twinks, and that the gay men they covet so much will never date them.

It is absurdly clear:

- statements of fact =/= transphobia, even if some halfwits are wah-wah-offended by them
- statements of belief in biological fact are not a blank cheque to commit discrimination or harassment.

The onus shifts, from troons able to claim that simply stating “I don’t think men can become women under any circumstances” is harassment directed deliberately at them in breach of their ha-ha-human right - to them having to prove that any such statement was intended as harassment and discrimination, and also targeted them explicitly. It raises the bar on their bullshit to allow normal debate and reasonable challenge to happen legitimately.

If troons can’t truly grasp that, I guess their lady-brains must really be dragging them down something chronic, bless!

"The Femsplainers podcast" just did an episode called "Mom, I'm trans" . They interview 2 moms from basically an underground network of moms of trans kids who don't buy into the bull shit.

One of the women was super strict with their kid about technology, so no phone & no computer in their room. However during lockdown the 13yr old kid was using the remote learning laptop to get on reddit and decided he was trans. Kid got invited to a bunch of private chats and they even found out an adult had video conferenced with their child at least once. The boy also was getting advice from trannies on how to lose weight & to cut himself. I found the whole interview disturbing and upsetting.

I'm just listening to this and had to stop at this exact part. Shit's too much. Reddit is scary. Kid thinks he might be gay cause he doesn't love all stereotypical boy things. Goes on reddit asking if he might be gay, they start screaming YOU'RE A GIRL. Not even an exaggeration. They started bombarding him with this idea and material to convince him he is. That part where the adult he was talking to told him that if his parents don't accept this they're toxic and bigoted and he'd come and get him. These parents terrified that he talked to some sex trafficker or some shit.

It is probably a minority opinion in this place but no, I have known several transgender people who transitioned and went on with their lives in peace. One factor they have in common is that they all transitioned 5+ years ago. The current trans wave, on the other hand, seems to be mostly middle-aged men who aren't getting enough attention and sad autistic children.

Personally I believe there are a small number of people who, maybe because of a hormonal issue, really are happier and better off living as the opposite sex. That number has not increased and is still tiny, and is currently being drowned out 1,000 to 1 by the type of people featured this thread.
