Five Nights At Freddy's

Honestly, I still kinda appreciate FNaF as it is and how its creator got dumped on for a previous game and then managed to turn it all around and make one of the most popular and well-known game franchises out there in recent memory. It's also kinda fun to see the fans lose their collective shit over him being conservative.

Hats off to your Cawthon. You're living the dream.

Of of course the fandom would throw a fit on Twitter over this. As far as I'm concerned Scott is just a normal guy who makes games and has a good family.
Surprisingly, it was about 50/50. One half was complaining about muh trans rights, the other half had various arguments defending him, from the dumb "he's done good stuff to counteract this evil sin", to the slightly more reasonable "he probably donated for reasons other than hating LGBT people", with the incredibly based "lol don't care" rounding it out.

Scott brought this all onto himself when he decided to make Mangle/Funtime Foxy's (and Spring Bonnie's) gender ambiguous.

I remember watching this review of Sister Location some by a big gay dragon where he said how sadden Funtime Foxy didn't have a voice then the dude went on a huge tangent about how he viewed Funtime Foxy as being a girl trapped in man's body (or the other way around) it was really gay.

But the fans shouldn't be surprised by this cuz he's like a Christian Boomer who lives a normal life and made a Christian short film plus a whole game but they are anyways.

Anyways here are some more are some more people bitching

"Regarding this person that has never heard of me and never thought about me, his donations to people he politically agrees with means he's attacking *me* personally."

Cope, seethe, dialate

They are good designs but it's just kinda weird how they listed their pronouns lol.

Btw something to note is that "Eva" the person who drew the designs has recently deactivated their Twitter account but you can still find alot of her art reuploaded pinterest, sadly I couldn't find all the weird gay Fnaf drawings she did. (Like how she put Fredbear in a dress n' stuff)

But I did find this which is close.

Now this is probably because of the current Scott situation after all she had "don't follow if you're LGBT+ phobic" or something around those lines on her bio.

Here's an pinterest archive of her bio.

So learning that she's been making and build her whole life around a evil conservative that hates all gay people then that was what probably broke her.

I just know this will be a topic for the Jimquisition given how James Stephanie Sterling likes to bring up the fact that they inspired FNAF with their review of one of Cawthon's games.

Not sure if MatPat will comment on it though.
Unlikely matpat will, he knows people watch him for the theories about fnaf, and not what he thinks about the creator. At best he might make small mention, or throw shade, but anything more would be off the table.

I can feel him snarkily tweeting about it right now

Someone leaked that Scott Cawthon, a Christian who made a Christian game and a vaguely pro-life game, donated to right-wing parties:

Naturally, lots of minorities and queer people are throwing a collective tantrum over this revelation. They ar even writing '#tw: fnaf' ('Trigger Warning: Five Nights at Freddy's').
Poor Scott, his money went for Candidates who spent the money on parties.

It's almost like shredding money is the better alternative than donating.

Reactions: AmarettoPie

I question whether or not this was a good idea for Scott Cawthon to respond at all. After a couple of days, it appeared that the outrage was effectively contained to a collection of Twitter crybabies with not a peep from game journo outlets, despite their ideologically alignment with said crybabies. After this E3 weekend, that probably would've been the end of it. By responding, however, Scott now makes this a news story and guarantees that the outlets will disseminate the outrage by Monday.

But as far as responses go, this is an absolutely ace statement.

Love the irony, too.
