I have minor theory that this is why, after years of being a "lesbian" getting extremely frowned upon in woke circles—four or five years ago I was told that "wlw" was trans exclusionary, and that being a lesbian instead of pansexual/bisexual/queer meant someone was a TERF—so many young girls/women are suddenly are suddenly all militantly calling themselves lesbians despite... often literally having male partners they're happy with. very young children calling themselves lesbians (along with he/him, they/them, bi/pan, etc, of course). IMO it's often being actively encouraged by the creepy adult men who call themselves lesbians. It makes me really sad how now when you see someone say they're a lesbian online now—outside of sites that are cancelled for being TERF—it's often either a man (transbians lol) or a young person being groomed by adult sexuality.
