1973 - Robin Hood
1986 - Great Mouse Detective
1994 - Lion King
2016 - Zootopia
It's a conspiracy.
There's generations of furries, really. The OG furries were influenced by the media available between the seventies and nineties. Then younger generations were born, and they were influenced by things like Digimon. That's why, when you look at really old furry stuff (say, from the nineties), it's almost always still distinctly toonish.

By the same token, today's troons aren't very much like yesterday's troons. There's a very noticeable generation gap in energy, and it makes me wonder what form troonism will take in the future. Within the past five years, we've gone from this weird fixation on "genderqueer," where everything can be a gender, to everything falling under the umbrella of "non-binary."

But for some reason, in both groups, across generations, they’re into fucking diapers

They dont want detrans to talk because the only logical conclusion is no one can know if they "truly trans", and as such to be safe no one should be let to transition as a child.
This is exactly it. Not gonna reveal too much but when I finally told my tranny friend circle that I was heavily considering de-transitioning/desisting, they told me not to/told me that if I did I should keep quiet about it, so I didn't mess things up for "real" trans people. That was the moment I realized I needed to get out asap. I'm lucky I did before I made any serious permanent fuckups.

My excuse here: I genuinely thought this was a troll bc I follow a lot of edgy RW gag accounts on Twitter.

Guy uses he/they pronouns, wife uses they/them. Maybe trans? I think it's just a straight couple with weird pronouns but I genuinely thought this was a parody.

That sentence is just the most insane thing.. "my wife THEY/THEM pronouns died"

Initially giggled because I thought the comedic timing of inserting pronouns at that point was just too over the top. But then read replies. Apparently, it's real. I now feel like a horrible person. But still. "Pinned tweet" somehow makes it worse.

Can't comprehend the amount of wokery that's thinking about pronouns at a time like that.

Don't forget Lola Bunny from Space Jam
Really it's missing a lot. I'm not sure if we're getting this right. I can list off a whole lot - those - Rescue Rangers, the one with the Jungle Book characters flying planes, the 20 donald duck shows, Goofy show and movie - all had vaguely, vaguely sexualized animated characters (I use those words loosely in the vein of the idea of Robin Hood and Zootopia spawning furries.) Is this that new of a thing, or is it more maybe the proliferation of cartoons and the line between adult and child culture blurring? I genuinely don't know, I'm asking - like there totally had to be stuff like this before. The Thundercat lady was bangin' and I'm sure every Thundercat rip-off had a similar animal mutant girl character - that was 80s.
2001 - Baby Looney Tunes
Same with this, I was about to cite the explosion of "babi-fied" cartoons, but that's been going since at least the 80s - there was muppet babies and I thought at least one Hanna Barbara series.

I guess we're all just taking a piss here anyway, but furries and troons have multifaceted origins. It's like when scholars debate over what actually caused other historical tragedies like the fall of Rome or World War I or the Great Depression.

I suspect a faker taking the piss at troons. He is looking dead-on at the camera, smirking so we can see his lantern jaw better, instead of playing the angles like they usually do.
This looks like a Pocahontas party wig and those are muscles that you don't get by questioning your gender.

This dude has been posted before waaay back in the thread, and I think the general consensus was that he was trolling the trannies twice; first by just putting a cheap wig on to show how ridiculous they are, and also by being the chad they could never be, or maybe that was just my take

My favorite example is quicksand fetishism. That was a whole weird niche of porn at one point, people sinking in quicksand. It rose and fell with the trope of quicksand in movies, and now it's very rare, implying that there's a strong social component to paraphilias. They may even have a finite lifespan.

Transgenderism does have a finite lifetime, the chances of it disappearing altogether is around 41%

Truly like the pyramids, agriculture, alien myths, these guys spring up throughout different cultures, contemporarily, more similar than different but mystifying all the same.

Can we start a bet of when this guy will Troon out? Since troons usually try to become their wife, becoming your dead wife definitely sounds like the ultimate tranny move.

NOT NEW, NOT NEW. NOT NEW!
I can tell you for a 100% fact that back in the 80s and 90s it wasn't uncommon for animators and production staff on cartoons to have porn of their characters hung up in the office, and there were even sexual harassment cases where they had drawn female staffers in the style of the shows in compromising positions.
Further back than that I can't confirm, but there are plenty of rumors.

To get this thread a bit more on track and away from furries and their animators, I looked into "Trans 90s cartoon characters" and found this nonsense:

If I saw a political post like this for my area I would not vote for this candidate. I'm not taking even the slightest chance of pushing forward any trans narrative. It sucks because most people aren't aware of the motives of these men and their handmaidens.

It is bad enough that Biden said fuck all biological/natal women on his first fucking day. But I'm not bitter. 🍋
At least Trump wanted to grab America by the pussy, not the stink ditch.

The dynamic between FtMs and r/askgaybros compared to MtFs and women's spaces is hilarious. There's at least one weekly bait post that often gets linked to AHS or one of its now somewhat aimless anti-gendercritical affilates, and AGB users just shut it down. It always feels kind of concise and brutal, but maybe that's because FtMs can't pull off the kind of man rage sperg response MtFs always hit women with. I'm also not sure how they haven't been banned, but I'd assume it has more to do the the Reddit janny troon cabal being MtFs who don't give a shit about FtMs. Most of the other gay subs are explicitly troon friendly (not even counting the legion of LGBTQ subs) and some even have always hated askgaybros for already being blunt about sexual preferences before Reddit troonageddon, but these ftms gosh darn it have to be unquestionably accepted in this space.

The only time I've seen askgaybros hit Reddit front page was a bait post "This sub is surprisingly super transphobic" - now you can say that maybe Reddit users just agree that AGB is transphobic, but most posts then weren't even cracking 200 upvotes, then in the middle of coof, BLM, and 2020 election, this post gets enough attention to hit the front page and be top 3 in the sub of all time with 11K votes and all those stupid fucking awards? Troonsphere just wanted to condition the Reddit hive mind that this was a bad sub and draw in some admins when regular users got snippy, someone probably used bots to upvote it that much that quickly.

I can’t give details but I can say that every tranny I saw was already diagnosable with syndromes that could have been dealt wth according to proper medication and psychology
From a deontonlogical standpoint it's great that you don't air out your patient's dirty laudry, props to you for being professional and respectfull.
But from a "participating in a gossip thread" standpoint, imma gonna say, it's a little boring. Surely you can give us some juicy bit or salty opinion that can't be traced back to them or you.

I feel like we have so much detransitionners on this thread we could have a thread just for them to share their experience.

My god the last guy is fucking based, he gives no shit about the troon's mental gymnastics and tells the absolute truth.
We'll be seeing more of these based gay men/lesbians in the future. This stuff directly affects their quality of life. I suppose they feel tarred by this crap. Guilt by association, and all that.
When Magdalen Berns (RIP) heard of this freak called Alex Drummond,

She just had to make a video. Her videos is part of what peaked JK Rowling.

"Your fucking minds are so open your brains have fallen out" gave me a good laugh not gonna lie; that guy really shows why this sort of shit shouldn't be accepted nor fucking financed by taxpayer money, and I can definitely see why this opened Rowling's eyes.
What happened to the gal making the video btw? How'd she die?

EDIT: just read that apparently it was a brain tumor, fuck that's rough.
