There's generations of furries, really. The OG furries were influenced by the media available between the seventies and nineties. Then younger generations were born, and they were influenced by things like Digimon. That's why, when you look at really old furry stuff (say, from the nineties), it's almost always still distinctly toonish.1973 - Robin Hood

By the same token, today's troons aren't very much like yesterday's troons. There's a very noticeable generation gap in energy, and it makes me wonder what form troonism will take in the future. Within the past five years, we've gone from this weird fixation on "genderqueer," where everything can be a gender, to everything falling under the umbrella of "non-binary."
