I’ve noticed that she seems less miserable lately. At least, it seems that way superficially. Who knows, maybe the therapy is working. I’ve known a couple people who started going during their addiction and while they never REALLY got sober, they did person to become one hell of a functioning addict. That could be her path, honestly. But really, to me she seems like the kinda gal who will grow out of it, if she lives that long.

You're right, it is superficial. What we see on her Instagram and Twitter only scratches the surface of her empty existence. Every post on Instagram is her cigarette stained plushies, art regression, and frumpy selfies. Tuna puts up a front by showing off her amazon toys and sweatshop clothes. These things do not actually make her happy. Cheap china shit cannot fill the void of failure to be a productive member of society and having healthy relationships with your family and S/O.
I can't imagine fixating on the same 6 skincare products can make you that much happier either.

Luna being lazy once again. Ordering Chinese and eating ice cream, and then not eating for two days and obsessing over it is not going to help you lose the weight. Go to a dietician or nutritionist. Get a gym membership. Ask someone else for help, because you clearly don't have the willpower to do this by yourself.

The funny thing about Luna's ED saga is that she doesn't have an actual eating disorder. She WANTS one, for some fucked up reason.

She obviously has weight issues (she fluxes so much) and very unhealthy eating habits. It is clear how much she hates her body but she doesn't want to be healthy or work on loving herself. Treating her body right to try and slim/tone down is alien to her.

She acts the same way as chubby teenage girls do when they want to lose weight but don't know how to. She thinks starving herself for a day will suddenly make her skinny. She thinks making herself have an eating disorder will help her somehow.

No Luna, that's not how it works.

Even in her body checking pictures you know she isn't showing real pictures. She's sucking in, wearing shape wear and has likely shopped in curves. She has badly tried to make herself look desirable and "curvy". Luna does not look like that.

She is not particularly huge, its just that she lacks any tone and has an unfortunate distribution of fat. Her body reminds me of someone in their late 30s who has just given birth. If she wore the right size of clothes and underwear, she would just look a little chubby, but not unfortunate. If she did light exercise and ate like a normal person (not even going on a diet, literally just having 3 meals a day and making sure she drinks lots of water and consumes lots of fruit and veg) instead of living off cigarettes and food with 0 nutrients, she might not lose a lot of weight but she would look and feel better.

She’s just fishing for compliments in those very carefully posed, angled and filtered photos. (They still look bad but hide the true extent of her fat rolls and weight) She wants people to tell her how good she looks, not fat but curvy!

She seems to think being a normal weight at some point when she was a teen qualifies her as anorexic.

You can always tell the fatties. They seem to think missing meals, not eating dinner or eating lightly is such a BIG deal. Luna strikes me as the type that eats terrible food all week long, but on one day she may skip a meal or try to resist eating cookies and thinks she’s entering ED territory as a result.

Absolutely agree. Those follow the path of a razor and are slightly raised. Stretch marks are rarely raised and look more like wrinkles.

Don't forget, Luna is a junky first, which precludes all else, especially anything like real self-care. Her problem isn't so much that she's fat; it's that she's not automatically waif-thin like her junky heroes, and the fact that she's not likely confuses & frustrates her.

Luna's lizard-brain knows there's a problem. But not only does she lack intestinal fortitude, she doesn't possess even a modicum of the self-awareness needed to address it; whatever sparks of intuition she does show, the dope doesn't have to work very hard at extinguishing them.
