Funny you should bring that up, but I genuinely think Suisei didn't take the news of Coco graduating well, and not in a sad way as most of them. I honestly think she feels a bit betrayed by Coco. And if you think of it in the sense that she actually moved to the "Holo" house/Apartment Block (with her sister), imagining some long-term base of operations with people to only have it fall apart a little over a year later, I can kind of understand it. Admittedly I'm pulling this out of my ass and the only thing I have that supports it is how she's talked about Coco and the graduation.

I should probably specify that I don't think Suisei by any means hates Coco, I think she's just reevaluating their relationship.

Edit: My reasoning has nothing to do with her not crying, but feel free to be that dense. It's her correcting herself when she said Coco was a friend, and then saying they're work colleagues and she has no clue of even 1/10th of what goes on in Coco's head. Along with her reaction to Coco mentioning that she was graduating was to not talk to her for an extended period of time.

And if reevaluating a relationship with someone is something only an NPC in a game does, then I imagine you're just lucky enough not to have had to distance yourself from people who have had a negative effect on your life. (Not that this is the case between Coco and Suisei)

I haven't pay attention at Kanata at the time I wrote that post.
Now that I've tried to watch Kanata's POV. As you said, she was indeed barely talk when Miko & Suisei were there. But she was also barely talk when Pekora joined & when Rushia joined.
I don't really know the usual dynamic between Kanata & Miko and Kanata & Suisei, so I don't have any rrat.
At least, for me, the change of Kanata's behavior is not as contrast as Pekora's.

Botan, Kanata, Pekora: Pekora pretty much dominate the conversation.
Botan, Kanata, Pekora, Miko, Suisei: Botan pretty much handle the conversation between the builders (Botan, Kanata, Pekora) and Miko, Suisei.
Botan, Kanata, Pekora, Rushia: Pekora & Rushia dominate the conversation.

At least the the "PekoMiko is over" rrat holds more water this time, compared to "they haven't collabed for a while". This time, they have a sudden collab and they didn't really interact.

Probably because her character would be flying very close to Genius the transgression territory, now she is just the smarts of the team while Calli and Kiara are the street samurais (for a lack of a better analogy) and Watoto is the face, Gura is just there shilling with her edgy guitar

Speculating about the nuance of their relationship is dumb in general. People aren't video game character where relationship run on a straight scale of Hate----annoyed---neutral---like---Love. We aren't a fucking robot. If anything, I'm sure Suisei support Coco very much. Don't forget that Suisei herself doesn't come to Hololive out of some sappy story like "Hololive save her from depression" or "I like this xxx Hologirl". It was a business move focus entirely on her personal goal. When INNK doesn't work out as planned, it took her only a few month to start thinking about leaving for other pasture. If anyone, she would be the one to understand Coco's circumstance the most.

And seriously, you watch Suisei longer-than-average talk about Coco and come to that conclusion? That she somehow sentimental over Coco "betrayal" to chase her own goal above going on the same stage? When I read the first part of your comment, I thought you're going to say that she has a bit of beef with Hololive now, which I would totally agree. But thinking the relationship between two of the most goal-oriented content creator going to be strain over choosing their dream above business performative relationship is pretty dumb.

I highly doubt any of them, even Calli, are aware of GtT, let alone avoiding its tropes for the sake of maintaining game division.

This talk about "PekoMiko is over" and what Tatsunoko mentioned is reminding me of 4chan where they've been a few mentions of Kanata and Suisei hating each other and/or are not on good terms. But it could just rrats being spun up as them two not doing Collabs with each other as much if I would assume?


But also, because of the mentioned 'Holohouse'. It's reminding me of Coco wanting a motion capture suit so she could use her 3D model to some degree at the Holohouse, but couldn't because of their cost and how she couldn't find her ideal place for the Holohouse. And it also saddens me that we would never see Coco use her idol outfit at all. Unless we'll get to see her use it for her finale stream maybe?

Are we watching the same stream? Because im pretty sure botan is the one who dominate the conversation between peko/kanata/botan. And like i said earlier when she started doing the piston/slime obstacle she barely talk aswell it was around 3:36:35 - 3:44:52(Kanata notices her). That time frame is probably longer than miko/suisei one.

As for kanata and miko dynamic is concerned i'd say they bounce off well with each other.

17 hours of Yakuza in 2 days is actually starting to wear me down. (Technically 2.5 of those are SC reading but really does it matter)
But it was amazing to see Kiara finally run into Mad Dog Majima and the first appearance of Coco's husband.

Looking forward to Pekora getting to that scene as well!

I could be wrong about who exactly dominate the conversation between peko/kanata/botan, but the point is Pekora has significant involvement on the conversation at that point.

The overall atmosphere is mostly calm. No goofing around. When Miko & Suisei joined, it were Miko & Suisei who goofing around. Only when Rushia joined they started to goofing around. But at the time Rushia joined, the work is mostly done, so it is make sense.

Silent when working on red stone contraption is quite normal especially if you don't have blueprint to follow.

Damn, that's disappointingly unoriginal. I mean the design is cute and all..but did she really have to use herself? I thought the entire point was to roleplay another character.

I wonder if Ame and Gura are going to draw their own characters or if they'll commission someone to make a decent one.
