I lean the other way. On a knee-jerk, emotional level, there's horror in a suppurating, parasitic growth that looks like you could just cut it off, but there's even more horror in seeing rot burrowing into the healthy flesh of the trunk.

Sure, even a minority of a minority would represent a significant number of people. I don’t have any numbers to back it up but I suspect that gay men settle down as they get older just based on observations of my and older cohorts. To be fair straight men would have a lot more casual sex if they were able to.

Totally agree on the gay men not dating FTM. Guys who are into that are at most bi, not gay.

I hate this conversation though.
We are talking about boys having their genitalia amputated. The girls have their vaginas sown shut, and then some fucking thing from their leg/arm is grafted onto their nether regions.

Why wouldn't this flesh excavating tool have a name?

There was this double-bladed surgical knife used for amputations in the 19th century. It was called a Catling. They use electrical saws now, and thank god for that. Whatever that flesh excavating neovag tool is called, I hope it'll be just as forgotten about as the Catling in the future.

Somone in my orbit, but not directly connected with trooned out in Nov 2019. Before that he was big into the local music/punk scene. Went to Thailand in April for "the surgery" Last Instagram post is from them in April about moving to the recovery hotel. News came through that they've passed away. No cause of death given. What do you think it was: case of extra rotten stink ditch or joining the 41% club ?

Pretty insane you can come out as trans and then a year & half later go to some 2nd rate international destination & chop your dick off.

Without knowing anything else, my money is on the 41%. An Westerner probably wouldn't be subjected to the same shitty medical care as the Thai residents, as long as he actually put up some money for the surgery rather than Googling "free amhole installments Thailand." On the other hand, I think remorse brought on after the surgery, especially once he realizes that he still isn't a woman and all his problems aren't solved, is extremely likely.
