If you look past his income there really isn't anything to envy. Even his income isn't that special if we're honest. I would neck myself if I had to deal with Phil's life.
Please, the only people who would trade with Phil are those living in some poverty stricken, war-torn hellhole of a country, and they would only trade to get away from the threat of imminent death. Phil has no life: a wife who's more a room mate. not a single friend to hangout with, goes outta the house once a week for groceries, no hobbies beside gin and gacha, etc. Phil EXISTS, he doesn't LIVE.
DSP's bankruptcy was the worst thing that could have happened to him because he learned the exact wrong lesson. He's putting himself in the exact same situation, and eventually there will be no bailout for him.
The only thing people would want is his income, and ironically, his only way of keeping the money coming in is constantly telling us how broke and unsuccessful he is. The only thing he's good at (begging for money from a small group of weirdos) is the one thing he can't admit he even does. The rest of the time he's just miserable. No thanks.
The bankruptcy is meaningless. How many people are "crippled" from the bankruptcy they filed in the 2008 housing crash? Nobody cares. There were so many and we all understand why. Bankruptcies that happened in 2020 will be even more common. Nobody is going to care or ask why in a year or two (if that long). Hell if I had it to do all over again I would've gotten a million$ home in 2006 Florida, declared bankruptcy and skated too.

If I woke up as darksydephil tomorrow, I would immediately sell off the condo and use the equity to move into a more affordable/modest home. I would also immediately start going to the gym and cut out the gin and also get some regular doctor/dental appointments scheduled.
That is true. Granted Phil made one thing right: he used his Youtube income to get out of old debts. That was smart imho. But he then frittered his income away because he thought this gravy train would roll on forever and he would never had to change or deal with competition. Remember those rants about Tobi Turner or Pewdiepie? He was complaining that popular people started gaming channels and putting out "polished content" which would hurt the little guy. The same guy who refused to improve his own content until it was almost too late. If he would have invested even a little bit of effort he would have been fine. Not a mega star but defintely a household name. Phil is the perfect example on how not to conduct business and life
Mate that point is so great. I was a right depressed twat during quarantine because I was forced to live Phil's life. Not going out, not being able to go for a cheeky quick pint or MackyD's with my mates, no stress free shopping with my missus and just being stuck indoors was bloody depressing.

My life is fine. I do deal with people professionally every day who's lives really do suck and Phil's ain't close.

I came across a video early in my detractorism where they were still in CT and he told his viewers leanna was a full-time live-in girlfriend. This confused the hell out of me because no one speaks like that and people usually just say my partner and I live together. Also, I agree with you on the household term.
