So, now all the big conferences are done, and people have got the memes out of their systems. What games do you think were good/looked interesting?

I've not seen most of the shows, just reading reactions after the fact, so far the interesting stuff to me seems to be-

Advanced Wars Reboot

Metal Slug Tactics

Some people liked Eldar Ring, but I'm not a souls fan so that looks more of the same to me. I've not looked into Fatal Frame, because it'll likely get butchered by Treehouse like the last one.

Smash surprising the hell out of me by putting in a new character from a series not fully represented (tho I thought heihachi was in the game as a mii costume or something. Whatever, it's not like the devs dont keep their word about what characters they put in)

smash is strange anyway. like when they put in terry bogard (I get he's the poster boy for KOF), but imo nakoruru would've a better fit and get the waifufags on board.

Nintendo winning by actually focusing on Video Games at a Video Game presentation is black-pilled af. They're presentation would have been marginally good, not excellent once upon a time. I really haven't been a fan of the DLC characters they've put in Smash except for Banjo. The picks have just been all over the place, and some like Joker and Sephiroth really don't fit in there. I hope the last one is something really special.

What worst is, this is going to be fucking true about Metroid Dread. The remake of Samus Returns was great and it sold like dogshit, the company that made it wanted to do a Fusion remake, Nintendo had them do 2 first and it bombed.

Metroid Dread is the appetizer before the meal, but I love seeing the series inching more to the survival horror direction. I just want Alien Isolation with Samus, tbh.

Wow this really cements my decision to stop buying Sony/Microsoft products. Didnt think too much of it but yeah..."THEY BROUGHT IN THE NEXT GEN" has entirely been forgotten about because these companies didnt even develop a track of game releases for this next gen. Switch is the older console but I'm more interested in what they've brought out. I'm still playing my 3DS and I feel a bit miffed Ps4 is being left behind BUT THEYRE BACK TRACKING GAME RELEASES TO THE PS4.

Who the fuck thinks 'releasing GodFall on last gen' was a good idea? You're shitting in the mouths of people that bought PS5 and absolutely proving there was no need to release the next gen consoles.

Elden Ring is the best thing that came out of this whole shit-show. Even if I wasn't that into souls, there's tons of hardcore RPG mechanics coming out of the interviews I've read that really appeal to me. Metroid Dread is good news just on the basis that its a 2D Metroid game in current year. Besides that there's not a single game I'm interested in. Metal Slug tactics just seems to be some shitty Metal Slug branded mobile game, I'm not sure why anyone would be excited for that.

The platform holders had a decent E3 but the rest of the industry needs to get their shit together. This inclusiveness shit is going to do huge damage if it keeps going.

The people you are trying to appease aren't your core audience, they will drive those people away and then leave the smouldering wreckage to move onto the next thing.

even if they kick out all those retards tomorrow (which they won't and can't, even if they wanted to), projects are either too far gone to make it unfeasible to change course or not far enough to make a difference, which means even in the base case that shit will drag on for a year, if not two. if they don't feel the sting by then they'll probably double down till they run head first into the wall.
