Plagued COVID Conspiracy Theorists and other idiots - This is not a political thunderdome or gay slapfight thread.

What is it with weirdos like you and being obsessed with singular personalities like Bill Gates and Fauci? One is a software engineer and the other is a civil servant and doctor. Why are they the center of your weird delusions?
There's something of a Fauci derangement syndrome going on. I think the dude's a bit uncharismatic and spineless, but other than that I don't particularly get the vitriol he inspires among some sectors of the American public. Every single person who actually likes the guy says things like "yeah he's a good doctor and a good scientist and he's done the best he could" but those with FDS are almost always "YEAH GO SUCK YOUR LORD RAT FACE FAUXI'S DICK SHEEPLE".

On that note of weird hyperbole, what do you think of r/ChurchofCOVID type content? At first I thought it was something to showcase examples of those who are ridiculously cautious of Covid to irrational extremes, or the types who call the police at the sight of a small social gathering. Maybe some satire and jokes along the way. But it's... weird. For instance:

To be clear, this is a person who is sarcastically commenting on another post by someone who is also sarcastic. Couldn't they find a pro-masker on Reddit who was crazy enough?

Same thing. OP of the post in r/Covidiots is mocking the sub. Even the r/Covidiots people realized it was a troll, so no one even unironically agreed with the troll, which would've been funny.

I had to scroll several posts to find an actual Covid obsessed asshole. The commentary is still unfunny, the video (which they don't link) is more amusing but rather mild for a public spergout.

In conclusion: what is the deal with them? If they can't show examples that warrant the satirical hyperbole, am I correct in assuming it's just a circlejerking cope to reassure themselves that their "enemies" are really as bad as they think they are?

TL;DR censorship gives credibility to conspiratards that would never exist without
I agree. You can even get banned for criticizing or discussing the conspiracies on FB in a negative light. It's ridiculous. If you're not a trusted™ source™ the algorithm detects the words you're using all the same and bans you.

It's pretty simple. He occasionally contradicted the continuous flood of absolutely idiotic shit Trump couldn't stop shitting out of his mouth on a daily basis. He was supposed to be loyal to King Donald, not the American public. Also he (and the CDC) made some dumb mistakes early on. Then, like pussies, they admitted it and corrected their mistakes. Everyone knows if you get caught being wrong you're supposed to double down and start screaming insults at your enemies, duh.

I think the other part is that Fauci changed his recommendations as we learned more about the disease, which Trumpers took as him not actually knowing anything, and this all being a sham to begin with.

They've never been big on understanding the implications of what something being a "novel" pathogen means. Almost anything you do at the outset is going to be an overreaction or an underreaction, or even both. An overreaction may mean you fuck up the economy. An underreaction could be the end of the world as we know it.

It's weird because if you were looking at our special A&H friends or subreddits like /r/China_Flu then the initial reaction was panic and stocking up on N95 masks based on SARS-CoV-2's small virion size, since fabric masks would not be able to completely filter the tiny virions.

Fauci's emails show he was thinking the exact same thing at the exact same time but the reaction is haha gotem bitch SMOKING GUN. Come on people.

You can accuse Fauci of anything, without evidence, and it will stick. It's gotten to a point where they literally can't read or listen to anything he says, or their blood pressure spikes.

He's being crushed under the weight of libelous books about him. Kennedy has one coming out soon. Looks like it's primed to be a bestseller by Simon & Shuster.

RFK Jr. has been a nutjob for years even when he was a purely leftist nutjob. That quavery-voiced faggot.

RFK Jr. used to struggle with alcoholism. This is his way of substituting one addiction for another.

Or perhaps his motives are more base.

If you compare his excerpts from the Simpsonwood conference (the piece Salon published befire retracting it) to the actual transcript, it's impossible to read it as anything but chicanery. He writes like a contentious litigator would.

I was speaking to a woman yesterday who seemed pretty normal until I casually mentioned how strange it was seeing groups of people eating outside restaurants after so long. This was a mistake, as she proceeded to launch into a crazed tirade about how the government was injecting people with nanomachines to control them (because mente means mind in latin, so govern-ment means governing the mind, you see). She asked if I had seen the movie Kingsman because the government's plan is the same as the villain's in that; after two years someone will press a switch and everybody who took the vaccine will fly into a psychotic rage and attack everyone around them. She assured me that she won't be affected of course, because she's a free thinker and not one of the sheeple, so wouldn't be getting the vaccine.

I didn't think people like this really existed; I thought the whole nanomachines thing was just a meme, but apparently there are some true believers out there.

There are tiers to a conspiracy. "Pretty sure there are no microchips in vaccines, stop posting that stuff. But quantum technology..."

Tangent: I thought was a problem of misinformation. Without basic scientific literacy, there's no way these lies can be dismantled. Human beings fill in blanks with imagination, and if you instill fear in people, those blanks are painted black.

However, If you believe in inherited memories, then vaccines prey on repressed primal fears: losing your child, sharp objects (infectious disease), and so on.

I worked in a pharmacy with grown adults who refuse to get jabbed. You inject the virus to get rid of the virus? ThAt DoN't MaKe No SeNsE!.

It's really funny because the claims about his emails are just pure retarded.

if you read them, the crazy ones that "validate" conspiracies are emails from random general public people to him, not emails sent from him. Like one guy, who runs a schizo Twitter account about how he has a covid cure, emailed him about how covid was created by spouting a bunch of random conspiracy buzzwords.

Then there's also him, back in February 2020, replying to someone saying how masks were not needed which is obviously a grand admissions that MASKS DONT WORK, even though that was his (and the CDCs) public stance at the time but then that changed as we got new data.

I conclude that some folks are pathologically afraid of injecting foreign stuff into their body. Facts won't work on them.
The body horror shit is a big factor, yes.

You remember Baby Alfie in the UK? That blew up and you had a lot of people assuming that doctors were keeping him in the hospital to run weird unethical medical experiments on him. I'm certain that was the case, because there's obviously no other reason why a toddler requiring mechanical ventilation would need to stay in the hospital.

This is literally the plot to Deus Ex Human Revolution

The press played them like drum. Just like they did when the Wakefield paper hit. It took The Lancet twelve years to retract it. They enjoyed the publicity and clicks.

Of course, now nobody believes them when they dial back support of hydroxtchloroquine.

These people try way to hard to be funny.
