I'm fairly sure Midori from Devil Survivor was meant to be autistic. She was sheltered and raised by the internet, but also she never really seems to understand human behavior. The best you can do is to tell her to calm her ass down. She never really gets why people feel the way they do.

In my opinion Devil Survivor honestly had the best characterization of any SMT game. Everyone in that game is just incredibly realistic compared to other games in the franchise.
Yeah... and Devil Survivor 2 had the least. That cast feels like a bunch of Vtubers in the Apocalypse.

Its pride month... this is my first pride month after having played and thoroughly enjoyed 4... I can't wait for the annual bullshit takes on Best grill... calling Naoto trans is quickly becoming one of the few things that makes me MOTI
people said the same thing about samus from metroid. same shit, different toilet.

They fucked up the tone so bad in Devil Survivor 2.

Devil Survivor had corrupt cops killing people and a very strong theme of "does humanity even deserve to be saved?"

Devil Survivor 2 had chawanmushi and literally the worst-written character ever, Ronaldo.

It's absolutely baffling how one felt like a good story and the other ripped off whatever anime was popular at that time.

Devil survivor 2 also had the worst designs for enemies. At least it had the Durarara dlc...in Japan FUCK.

Surprised there were never any fan patches or non memeshit mods for SMT and persona. Like more demons/personas to fight and use or new areas.

Persona 3 basically has a development kit and a working debug menu in the games files.

Speak of the devil. A Persona 3 FES Balance Patch got updated like an hour ago.

:story: I remember seeing that trailer now randomly. Its the only one of its kind to be made within the last 5 years.

So on Joe Bob's horror show last night they played a 1981 film called Evilspeak.

It's about a bullied dork who finds a Satanic book and is able to use it in conjunction with a computer to summon demons and cast magic against those who messed with him.

While not one to one, after awhile I started to wonder if this movie influenced Aya Nishitani, the writer of the '86 Digital Devil Story books that spawned SMT. Definitely follows along the general plot of the first book/ova storyline.

I seen that on Amazon Prime and thought about it as well. Its one of my favorite Clint Howard films right next to Ice Cream Man.

Finally made it to Matador and I'm really contemplating switching over to the PS2 version. The Switch port goes into single digits during the cutscene and lags a fuckton in general. I just don't want to have to do the first 5 or so hours again.

the new game looks cool and all but, why did they have to turn the MC into a cross dresser?`i have been noticing alot of boy femininity in recent SMT games. just make a female MC character if you want them to look like girls you homos.
tbh I think it looks cool. The guy could do with some broader shoulders and shorter eyelashes but it's not that bad.

I'm gonna be honest and say that I think the people complaining about the MC looking like a faggot instead of how his outfit looks like some weird hitogami-esque super sentai outfit probably watch-or read-too much porn anyway.

Also agree that the protag leans more toward Doi's tokusatsu-esque leanings in design. Don't really like how it looks overall because I think everything is too blue/a little too feminine for my tastes, but I can deal. I'm betting they'll have possible cosmetics like SMT4/IVA

did they really have to give him long hair though? not a cool helmet or a headband but women's hair?

it feels very Xenosaga/Tron. Here is what's on the SMT Fan-Wiki

The protagonist, a high school student living an ordinary life, wanders into another world called "Da'at". He then fuses with a mysterious man and becomes a "Nahobino", a forbidden being, throwing himself into a battle between gods and demons.
